    Anything rideable in Farmington area?

Yeah Brad, I rode at the South end of the Glade yesterday and it was great, just a bit of snow.

    Awesome, thanks!!
  5. Anything rideable in the Farmington area? Still a lot of snow on the ground up here in Durango. Thinking maybe Dunes as it's the furthest south.

    Red Strobe Lights on Riders

I don't know about now but as of a couple years ago the light that BITD mandated and Baja Designs sold was the Niterider Cherrybomb (1 W version).
  7. That'd be great! I'm sending you a message with my number.
  8. I am a novice rider looking for people to ride with. I live in Durango but have been riding in Aztec and Farmington. I'm not a novice to offroad, I desert race quads and mountain bike, but this motorcycle thing is a whole different ball of wax. I just got a CRF250X to trailride, love it, but am hesitant to explore much on my own. Anybody else slow wanna ride?

Anybody here ride a CRF250X down south?

    Thanks for the help, guys!!
  11. After spending a couple hours reading gearing threads in the CRF250X section thought I'd ask here. I've got a 2012, stock except for smog removal, FMF Q4 slip-on, and jetting. Going to prerun (not race) a couple sections of the 1000 with some friends that are racing. I'm a big guy, 215 without gear. Anybody have any idea if I can pull any taller gearing than the stock 14/53? Just concerned with not winding it out too much on the pavement. I thought I saw Tim Morton say on here or another forum that they'd run a 250 once. Anyway, any advice is appreciated. I know as a big guy a bigger bike would be better for Baja, but as a long-time quad guy trying to safely pick up motorcycle skills, I wanted a smaller bike, and I think it's going to have plenty of power for the trails here in Colorado.

    Grand Junction open area rideable?

    Thanks for the responses, guys
  13. Would the open area near the airport be a possibility for next weekend? I don't have any idea what snow does to the area. For what it's worth this far out, forecast shows dry for Wed on, with sun from Thursday on. Thanks.

    05 WR450 Oversized Tank

I just put the Acerbis 3.3 on my 04. It is the same tank as the 05, in fact I thought my bike was an 05 until I got the tank and found that the stock shrouds wouldn't work, then checked my VIN. Anyway, in spite of the confusing pictures you see on many websites this tank does not have the built in shrouds that hold gas and for your bike the stock shrouds work. I did not even look at the IMS after reading Baja Fool's comments about fires; some have said that the problem was fixed but I figured why take the chance. The tank went on without any problems; no modifications to anything were necessary and no problems hitting my Flatland radiator guards. Tank has a petcock on either side and requires you to run a line from one side to the other and tee it in. I threw away the provided plastic tee and clear fuel line and went to Autozone and got a brass tee and real fuel line. I rode 90 miles in Baja a few weeks ago and didn't hit reserve. I've not noticed any handling differences but I'm a quad guy just learning to handle a motorcycle and am a total hack.
