  1. Unfortunately the smallest size they carry is 3.8mm, ill guess ill just have to grind them down
  2. You sir are a scholar and a gentleman.
  3. So i was re-valving my suspension again today, and like a complete moron. I lost my mid-valve spacer and I have no idea where to buy a new one. I cant find it on MX-Tech's website at all. If anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

    CRF250 Vs. CRF450 Shock Bladder?

FC charges the same price (74.95) for just the cap, where the PC is the cap/bladder combo for the same price.
  5. I'm doing some work to one of my spare shocks and I was looking at getting a new bladder/bladder cap for it. Im really interested in the pro-circuit setup but on there website they only show 09-10 as an option for the 450. However, they show 06-09 as an option for the CRF250. Aren't the shock's the same exact thing except for the clevis size? Would this work? http://www.procircuit.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=217&idcategory=358 Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I just purchased a brand new OEM shock on ebay that was still in the factory packaging. I'm starting to do my own suspension work and I wanted one as a spare. Anyway, when I compressed it (no spring) side by side with my current shock, the new one took forever to fully extend again. I'm assuming this means its low on nitrogen. I've heard nitrogen only really leaks out when you have a problem with your bladder/seals. Could this mean that my brand new shock has to get torn down and rebuilt?!?

    My Supermoto CRF450R7

I can only imagine. I feel like I'd be MUCH more dangerous on that, than on my streetbike.

    Fork Pressure Spring HELP!

2007 CRF450R I'm trying to change the fork pressure springs in the base valve not the fork springs. everything is fully disassembled and off the bike.
  9. I'm in the process of revalving my suspension and swapping to a lighter set of fork pressure springs. However, for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it. I've already ground down a 13mm socket to loosen the locknut, but once it's loose where do I hold on the LSV so that I can unscrew the cap? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've already massacred that 13mm locknut, and I'd like to prevent any more damage.
  10. Here is my midvalve measurements, again i found another stuck shim. rebound 3-16x.30 1-11x.20 1-12x.10 1-13x.10 1-14x.10 1-15x.10 1-16x.10 1-13x.10 1-18x.10 2-20x.10 Compression #-ODxIDxThickness 4-8x20x.10 1-8x19x.10 2-8x17x.10 1-.10 adjustment shim 1-2mm collar 2-6x9.5x.20 2-6x10x.20
  11. Oh i see, i was listing them in reverse order from how you were listing it. Still, why in the hell would he remove 9-16x.10's from the bottom of the stack and put back 8 underneath the 16x.20. I relisted it in the proper order 1-16x.10 against lsv 1-15x.10 1-14x.10 1-13x.10 1-12x.10 1-11x.10 8-16x.10 1-16x.20 against base plate
  12. That must be why the bike feels so damn harsh, its dropping into the mid stroke way too early. My friend said the same thing who took my bike for a few laps. The problem is that this was originally valved for woods and mx, so when i brought it back to him and said hey this sucks, change it to pure mx, he just jammed a couple of shims here and there and slapped it together. Again, I can't express how much I appreciate all the help and advice. It feels good to have a better understanding of whats going on and how to fix it.
  13. Hey theDogger, I went and picked up a caliper and measured the base valve today. There were a few 30x.10's stuck together, so this is what the stack looks like: 11-30x.10 1-29x.10 1-28x.10 1-27x.10 1-26x.10 1-25x.10 1-24x.10 1-23x.10 1-22x.10 1-21x.10 1-20x.10 1-19x.10 1-18x.10 (LSV) Low Speed Valve 1-16x.20 8-16x.10 1-11x.10 1-12x.10 1-13x.10 1-14x.10 1-15x.10 1-16x.10 EDIT: I noticed that you listed the OEM LSV looks like this Comp Adj: (OEM) 10-16x10 1-15x.10 1-14x.10 1-13x.10 1-12x.10 1-11x.10 1-16x.20 Why would the suspension tuner flip the 11-15mm shims in reverse order on the stack? What type of change would that produce?
  14. Thanks for everything guys, you've all been so helpful. theDogger, I have the .48's and the lighter fork pressure springs in there already. With that being said, would the stack and oil height that you recommended stay the same?
  15. Alright ill give you a call in a little bit I just took apart the mid valve, heres what it looks like. Is this where you measure float? Between the compression stack and the valve right? If so, it seemed pretty tight, nothing would really fit in there.
