Heading out to Lost Trails in Dunford PA this weekend. Going to try my hand on the beginner trails as I’m just getting going with my new Beta Xtrainer. If anyone is goin to be out that way and doesn’t mind ridin with a novice, I’m your guy.

    Pulled the Trigger

Such a kind offer bro. Gratefully accepted. Let’s meet tomorrow morning. When you see the fork in the road, go right, past the old Meyers Farm, you’ll see the scarecrow on your left, then look for the trestle. I’ll be chillin underneath it. I’ll be there. With my Beta, in a Grim Reaper Costume. Can’t miss me

    Pulled the Trigger

Picked up the Beta Xtrainer 300 yesterday. Headed out to Lost Trails PA this weekend for first ride. As a 47 yo Novice I’m filled with excitement, trepidation, and perhaps a touch of nausea. Looking forward to when I’m good enough to join some of you fine folks out at RAC. Enjoy the beautiful weekend! Cheers, Adam

    Rockland county ny

I’m just getting started again after a few decades. Once I get my skill level up I’d be happy to come up to Sloatsburg. Used to go hiking up there with my dog, off Seven Lakes Drive or thereabouts. That trail that I believe goes to the reservoir or something. Anyway, It’s only a 45 mile drive for me.

Is there a link or something for the groups you mentioned? For some reason they won’t come up for me on the app when I search. Maybe I should try on the computer.

Hey man, I’m 47yo, from LI, currently in Queens. Just got my Carrier installed. Looking to pick up a new Beta soon. Been 30 yrs so I’m looking to start out slow, trail riding, single track. Looks like we are SOL as far as our area so I’ve been looking at RAC and AOAA out in PA...3+ hr drive though. Be nice to find something suitable in NJ or even up north in NY?

    Anyone 49 plus still riding?

I’m 47, just got back from a trip to St George, Utah where I got back on a dirt bike for the first time in 30 yrs. Back then it was a YZ100, this time a CRF230. Went out into the desert with a sweetheart of a 19 yo kid who waited for me every time I needed to stop to catch my breath. I was fine on the level areas but once we got into the whoops and up and down the dunes I was huffin and puffin. Dumped it 2x but neither the bike or myself were the worse for wear. Today I went out and got a hitch and a Black Widow Carrier. After a lot of research, My plan this weekend is to check out a Beta Xtrainer 300 and possibly pull the trigger. I live in Queens, NY and this region is basically nowheresville when it comes to trail riding. All the places I rode as a 17 yo out on Eastern Long Island have all been developed and turned into Big Box stores and parking lots. So looks like I’m headed out to NJ and PA. AOAA looks great. Would love to find a group (or even 1 or 2) of beginners or begin-againners to connect with for weekend trail riding in easy mode at least initially. Please reply or DM me. I’m willing to drive ~3hrs or so. Cheers, Adam
