    braking vs. down shifting

The most important thing here is HOW MUCH ROOST you can spray all over your friend. What you need to do is go in HOT, then click down two gears, hit the back anchor and slide that puppy through with your rear wheel as close as possible to your buddy's front. Then UNLEASH THE BEAST!!

Don't know about the bikes with auto decomp, but when you kick a yzf you've gotta give it a full kick through to the bottom, not a girly stab.
  7. My '00 makes the same sound, usually on the first take off of the day. After that, nothing.

    Before and After (graphics)

yeh, needs some action on the side plates. I liked the old scheme too, but the tank parts peeled off. She's getting on in life. Too late to be pretty! I don't know how people manage to keep their bikes looking so special.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good call Slowmotion.
  11. Checked valve clearances, decomp adjustment and action and all is in order. Still starts first kick every time and compression is great when warm. I think that I have probably been paranoid since submerging it. I will give her a good beating this weekend and re-assess. Cheers guys.
  12. Fuel definately getting through because she starts and runs as normal. Tried giving it some throttle and it seems to raise the resistance a little. Can still kick it through but it does take some force. As I said in the link above, when it's warm it has strong compression. Think what I'll do is whip the top cover off and check the valve clearances, decomp adjustment and mechanism and re-assess after another ride or two. Thanks for the input again guys.
  13. Thanks Jeremiah. Just went out and tried it again. If I stand on it, it won't go. But if the kicker is horizontal and I push it, then it goes.
  14. Thanks don. We talking seconds or minutes here?
  15. glasseye, cheers mate. Yep, gota a couple of things to check before I pull it right apart. I have a thread which covered a few issues. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=243106&parentpage=3 Thanks pal.
