  1. I just rebuilt the carb new jets and pilots and set everything back to the stock setting, and I know the valve clearances are good I just cheeked them not to long ago and I do not ride very much. but is the slide is loose due to the wheels being worn out wouldn't that cause air to get through around it when it moves but seal when it has been their for a minutes, also could it be because the cam chain is stretched out because of how old it is and set it off one tooth.
  2. Also the choke does not leak and I have sprayed the carb down with cleaner and it stayed idling the same, the valves are adjusted right, if I pull the hot start out and push it in fast it will make it idle fine but as soon as I touch the throttle it will idle high again.
  3. when I get my bike warmed up it will idle very high unless I turn down the idle a bunch and then it will just die instantly, but if I leave it idling high it will come back down to a perfect idle but as soon as I touch the throttle it will idle high aging then eventually come back down. I just rebuilt the carb all new jets and other things and the bike runs great all of the time. the plug is a little rich but nothing to be worried about. Any ideas are welcome, but I think that the wheels on the carb slider are worn out and there is some play,
  4. I started riding a 125 really if you can ride a bike you can ride a dirtbike have him ride in a big field practicing turning and geting a feel for the bike
  5. 85 is to small I started on a 125 their really not that fast unless you really know how to ride them

I just recently bought a yz 426 and the clutch when I would pull the clutch in 1st gear and roll it with it not running it would drag. and the space on the clutch leaver, we're it is disinguaged and in Guage was not much when I bought it and not it is were small instead of 3/4 of the leaver. All I'm really asking is do you know what to look for when the clutch needs to be replaced and what does with my problem. I don't think that it is slipping eather but I'm pretty new to the dirt bike world but like 2 years
  7. Put it tight as you think it needs to be, but do not over tighten it if you know what the torque spec is tighten it down to what you feel is that torque.
  8. I've never seen one but it would be a good idea for people like me who have a tenden problem in their rist and it hurts allot when you bend it far some times

  10. I don't like the head design on this bike with o rings and the head does not cool very well with how yamaha made it
  11. No I'm white and I ride on trails mostly in Kalkaska michigan Probably that's what it was
  12. But you could make a mount fir the swing arm and tight weld it on or you could make it connect to the axle nut
  13. If your going with some atvs can't you have them pull it. and a trailer to be pulled behind a dirtbike would not work to good because if you dump it it will &%$#@! up the neck of the trailer
  14. The gas I think was old because I have never had a problem before but I wanted to sell it before this happened and I put some gas from November of last year but this happend months ago
  15. I think it detonated. But I was on a dirt road not paved streets that I normally run down all the time and I was only running it hard for like 15 seconds
