What did you do to your crf250l today?

Wish my balls were big enough to do a rally like that, that is awesome man. Plus I can't afford to miss that much work.

    Honda CRF250L/M Pics & Video

I ride mine to work a lot of days, 65-70+ down the interstate 30+ minutes. No problems.

    Feelings on recall....whats yours?

And if the starter spins when you push the start button it has nothing to do with the relay recall.

What did you do to your crf250l today?

I've got a few parts on the way, 42 tooth Renthal aluminum rear, sunstar 14 tooth front, 120 link DID chain and 3 spare clip style master links. It's parked till they get here, I'm running a 13T on the front now and my chain has stretched slightly and there is absolutely no adjustment left. Also new OEM rear sprocket bolts and nut just in case. Figure this will give me gearing options to play with.

I really like the looks of those Denali DMs that Focus Frenzy used but urmigerd 2-1/2 bills, I can by an EJK cheaper than that. How do you like the LED headlamp you got Focus?

What did you do to your crf250l today?

I've considered adding some type of auxiliary lights to point downward toward the road surface when the brights are on.

I've been using the silverstar ultra since my factory bulb went out after 1 year. I like them pretty well I would just like to see it throw more light directly in front of the bike on high beam. On low beam it really lights up the road directly in front of you but once you go to bright it really throws the light out far but doesn't really light up the road surface directly in front of you as well.

Real men don't wear shop gloves!

Excellent points in your article Bryan. I work maintenance in a steel mill in Memphis, as of Jan 1 this year gloves are mandatory if you touch anything in the mill (tools, parts, steel, etc). It has greatly reduced the number of minor hand scrapes and incidents since it was instituted. Also anybody watch Wheeler Dealers on Velocity? Edd China is a BAD ASS mechanic, I haven't seen that guy do anything without his gloves, it's a good habit to develop.
  9. I usually pass on extended warranties as well. When I bought the bike they told me the warranty was normally 900 and change, almost 1000 I think but they could hook me up for $500. I went ahead and took it. They assured me it covers everything but tires, brake pads, and clutch, unlimited miles. I figure for and extra 4 years peace of mind and dealer labor around $90 an hour it wouldn't take much to eat that up. I've put almost 10,000 miles on it in just over a year so I figure I'll have close to 50,000 before the warranty is out. That's a few miles for a bike this size. I had to have warranty work done in the first 2 months that I had it so who knows what else could happen. Works out to $125 a year for the extra 4 years, sounded like pretty good insurance to me.
  10. Only one way to find out. I would try it on my CRF250L if we had that kind of snow.

Just a little Christmas bling. The red eyes even match the bike.

    Ride Reports (CRF250L/M)

Took it out again today, weather was great, about 60 degrees. Went down to a Arkabutla lake and rode around in the park a bit. I've got a generic Go-Pro, a cheap one I got for Christmas last year. It does OK for a $40 camera but the battery only lasts about 5 minutes when recording. I wanted to mount it on the bike close to my charging outlet but couldn't get just the right perspective so I jerry-rigged this bracket out of a piece of PVC pipe and a couple of L brackets I had lying around to mount it to. I mounted the bracket to my windshield mount. Here a couple of shots of it by the lake. Guess I'll have to get a you-tube account to load videos to if I want to show any of them.

    Ride Reports (CRF250L/M)

Oh, about 45 mph is all I got it up to on the dirt there. I'm running a thirteen tooth front with no speedo correction so it was probably just slightly over 40. That was the day after after thanksgiving. That dirt is good hard pack so I could have run a lot faster although it is rutted in some spots where DOT has been out there with trucks.

    Ride Reports (CRF250L/M)

Took it up and down the new I-69 route in north MS a little bit. Nice flat roadbed, good for a medium speed cruise. Only went about 3 miles and back 'cause I couldn't tell if there was anyone present at the construction vehicles I spotted. I was sure they would run me off if they saw me.
