How many of you would buy another CRF250R/X?

I only plan to trial ride mine, so hopefully it will last long. I found a 2014 one for $3500 AUD with 40.7hrs on it from new. Now someone just needs to buy my 125

Do the 2013+ Honda's still have the 'valve' issue's?

    YZ/WR 200 Project

What are these WR200's like? from what i've watched/read they seem more than capable to keep up with modern bikes. Not sure about mx track, but for the enduro/trails i ride these bike's look good. Like to hear comments from people who own them!

    Building first pit bike track

Ah ok thanks for that. I do have a tractor, with a back blade and bucket up front with basic functions. I also do have 2 taps located near the area, i just need a couple of hoses put together and they'll reach. With watering the track, do you just spray the jumps now and then so they don't crack? I've never really worked out why you water your jumps/berms. Thanks for your input

    Building first pit bike track

Hi all, so my mates and i have been watching a heap of videos of people building and shredding their tracks on 110-160cc pit bikes. Anyway, my father has given me a small area of land (i'd guesstimate 350-550 square meters of land) to do whatever i want to on there. Anyway, i was planning on building a small SX/MX track for us to hall around on. I need some tips from people who have already built a pit bike track. I just want to know how big is too big for a jump on a tight track etc. Look forward to hearing from you. ~Elias

    Looking at 'downgrading?'

Ah righto thanks. Will an XR be able to travel at around 90-110km/h off road at ease? Also, do you think i'll be disappointing coming from a 250 four stroke race bike/125 2 stroke?

    Looking at 'downgrading?'

How do you find the power on it, is it enough? Like say compared to a 125 2t, or 250f race bike?
  12. Hey everyone so i was camping over the weekend with my mates, one owns a ttr250 (and he hauls the mail on that thing no one can keep up with him, he sits on 100 down the wide trails) and the other one rides a 2013 drz250. Anyway, those bikes are dead reliable, and are so light on fuel. So we got talking, and it got me thinking whether or not i should sell my high performance race bikes for a more trail oriented bike. My 125 and 250f are great but im just worried about the cost once they blow up. My mates 2013 kx250f blew up and he's going to be out for a while saving up $1k+ for a motor rebuild. Also, the race bikes eat the fuel, and they tend to get wobbles anywhere once i get over 60-70km/s, another reason why they put my off for trail riding, as i get worried about crashing and running out of the fuel in the middle of no where!! (Don't have enough money for a bigger enduro tank either) Anyway, i've been looking and researching and even newer enduro bikes (from what i've read, excf's, crfx's,wrf's) still aren't the most reliable machines, plus i don't understand why they are so expensive!!! I've found some really nice XR400r's for sale and even KDX200's. All i'm asking is how much engine life is expected from say an xr400r or kdx200, and would performance modifications wreck engine life and what are the pros/cons of these bikes? The XR400's seem to have good power for being an older designed air cooled 4 stroke. All help appreciated!! ~Elias

Why do people diss Honda so much?

Yes very true that's what i tried saying.
  14. Hey all, so i'm kind of wanting a 250f or 200 exc. Anyway, if i were to get a 250f, the crf250r really has my eye. All my friends diss them and say they're so slow, unreliable and just bad bikes. Why? Why do so many people think this? Are they really that bad? Am i better off with a 200 exc? Also i read Honda's (2010 and up) have really bad head shake issues (a characteristic of my 125 i dislike) ~Elias
