One you haven't seen much - LT250s and my TRX450R

nice lt250r I had two until my friend wrapped one of mine around a tree and bent my swing arm and blew the carrier into oblivion and broke the rear plastic. cost more to fix then is worth

    87 lt230 problems

have you checked spark plug/ gap is 0.28 then check air box/air filter gas tank and fuel lines should be checked for blockage have your carbs cleaned if it sputters and stumbles befor it dies then it could be fuel lines heard that could be a good possibilty among other things hope you get this figured out

i have to blip the throttle to start mine sometimes. Does it have a button on the right side of the motor on the carb that pushes in and out, because my 89 lt250s does and i guess it has something to do with airflow for cold and hot weather, weather its for idleing or fuel mixture is beyond me right now. also will it stay running if you give it gas

    1987 suzuki lt250r lean runaway

had that happen to my 89 lt250s after it sat for a year took it out rode it for a week or 2 and one day it went full throttle, hasnt done it since. Im thinking old gas might have done it plus it was cold outside so it made something stick. i would check your thottle cable make sure it's not rusty or sticking probably could use some wd-40 sprayed down the line

    Suzuki LT250S 1990

the second of the two and is just as good, except with all its plastic and the light, and key, and full exhaust, and probably a couple other things. my friend wrapped this one around a try on 6/17/15 broke the rear fender, warped the rotor and rear sprocket, destroyed the carrier into little pieces and bent the swing arm. all parts are in place full resto in progress!!! (except plastics)

    Suzuki LT250S 1989

this thing is cool, my first ever recreational vehicle and i love them both more then my crf. Easy to ride and takes a beating and keeps on going will be rebuilding this winter but parts are not easy to find for this quad since they where only made two years, i striped the oil drain plug once and thought i would have to tap it out or replace the case but it turns out that suzuki made the drain plug hole separate from the case so i just ordered a new one and bolted it back on, suzuki was smart on that one and made a great little quad i do have to say.

after consideration i chose the crf over the yz, because of the huge improvements with the suspension and engine. So this is my first bike and have not tried any other bike except this one, I dont recommend doing what I did but go big or go home so I went big and it is freaky fast starts right up hot, humid, cold. rips the ground up pretty good and looks good doing it. Front brake is great rear is okay I guess. I only have 5hr on it and love it, will be converting to sm for automotion should be a crowd pleaser. cant wait to see what it does on the dunes!!!
