    DT175 project rebuild gone wrong!!

So here is a high tech answer to your problem. Take the broken part to a 3D capable print shop. Have them photograph in 3D. The output from the photo can be fed into the printer. That way you get exact copy of part you need. Just the rambling of an old guy for what it is worth.

    1979 xr500

So if i decide to go nuts on this thing, is there a way to revamp the electrical to handle modern electrics. For me that would be going with LED lighting, blinkers, brake light.

    1979 xr500

Have a chance to get a basket case 1979 xr500 cheap. The frame and engine numbers do not match. The motor is actually 12 numbers later then the frame. My questions are how availible are parts. Looks like there are some on ebay. If i need a honda manual? Opinions on what you all think of this bike. Is it streetable? I am sure more to follow. Sent from my LG-H811 using ThumperTalk mobile app

  6. Sorry if i sounded harsh, not really my intention. While it is true that you get what you pay for, but you bleed money to be on the cutting edge. That being said and me being an old guy with more injuries then i can remember, literally, not remembering stuff that i think i used know, seems like a poor trade for dollars. Believe when i tell you i do not walk around saying, well that isn't safe. Life is for living as long and robustly as possible. As far as helmets go, buy what you can afford, ride as much as you can. Nothing better then seeing the world around us though the openning of a helmet Sent from my LG-H811 using ThumperTalk mobile app
  7. How can you say that the $10 helmet on a $10 head stuff then say the 6D stuff looks good. Their helmets are over $800 for street ride. Seems to me that a good helmet that fits well is one that will more then likely to be used. After over 50 years of riding though, i am sure i am not an authority Sent from my LG-H811 using ThumperTalk mobile app

    Hi All

I'm looking for sources for older Kawasaki dirt bikes. I have 1975 F11 that is in need of some parts and i would like to buy things that fit. Before everyone, says look on ebay i have found one ignition coil that i need, seller wants 165 dollars for it. I hope he has that coil a good long time. i only paid 35 dollars more then that for the whole bike. I want to restore this enough to ride it not show it. Thanks in advance for any help that comes my way
