Who is the best-looking guy on TT?

Hi, My name is Zack. I'm a sagittarius with a bad attitude. I like my beer cold and my women warm. I am the first guy to land a backflip on a PW50 (with training wheels). My motto is "I run with a full diaper and I don't care who knows it." Chicks dig me. Guys want to be like me. Hey, it's a curse. Ladies, line up on the left. The ZMan XXXOOO

    Rekluse clutch: 1st ride impressions

I have the Rekluze setup for my YZ450F and can't find anything bad to say about it. Both on the track and in the trails it has let me ride a lot faster. I am going to get one for my WR250F and install it over the winter. One suggestion I do have, however, is the loctite and feeler guages that is required. I spent two days looking for both these items. When I found the loctite, I had to pay a fortune for a big bottle b/c that's all they had. Most of the feeler guages I found didn't have the gaps required. I would have been willing to pay for an extra kit that included the loctite, the feeler guages, and a proper Torx screwdriver. It would have saved me two days of searching.

What do I need to replace the crankcases?

The case is not so much broken but bent. I must of come down hard on a rock somewhere because the bottom of the left case, about an inch and a half in front of the drain plug is pushed/bent up. The right side is still fine but the two sides don't match up on the seam/gasket surface. Is it possible to beat it back into alignment with the "good" side? Thanks, Bofforider
  4. I bent in the bottom of one of my crankcases and it leaks oil like crazy. I am resigned to the fact that I am going to have to replace them. Besides the cases themselves, what parts, if any, will I also have to replace (ie gaskets etc)? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Bofforider

    Oil change killed my bike!

I pull in the front brake when I start it up. The pressure of pulling it in ensures you don't twist the throttle.

    Replacing Crankcase

Anyone ever JB Weld something like this? Do you think that this may be an option? Thanks

    Replacing Crankcase

I have to replace the crankcase on my YZ450F. I mechanically minded enough, if I take my time, to do most things with my bike. However, this seems like a tremendous amount of work. On a scale of 1 to 10 what would be the difficulty level of this task? Should I just bite the bullet and get the local shop to replace the cases for me? Any opinions welcomed. Thanking you in advance,
  8. Thanks for the quick reply. I've looked in the manual but I'm not sure about the exact part number for this case. In the parts catalog it gives the number 5TA-15150-00-00 but it references both the right and left case. Any idea if they can be ordered separately or if they have to be ordered together? Thanks,
  9. I went into the garage today and noticed a puddle of oil around my bike on the stand. After giving the bike a good clean and inspection, I noticed that the skidplate, just in front of the drain plug, had taken a good hit. With the skidplate off, it appears that I have pushed in the bottom of the left (side with the oil drain bolt) crankcase slightly (now about 1/8th inch concave between the oil drain plug and the next bolt forward) and where the two sides of the crankcase no longer line up appears to be the location of the seeping oil. Is there any fix to this or do I just order another crankcase? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance,
  10. I just picked up a WR250F to keep my 450F company. Could anyone tell me what parts may be interchangeable? I.E., Rads, levers, perches, air filters, oil filters. Thanking you in advance,

    YZF450 Fit for trail use?

I ride about 50% trail and 50% track. The one mod I have done which absolutely makes this machine magic in the tight and twisty woods is a Rekluse auto clutch. I can't say enough about this product. We ride some extremely tight single track and this one mod has drastically increased the speed at which I am able to move through the trees. No more stalling and fatiguing clutch work. I am much more consistent with how I put power to the rear wheel.
  14. I had installed the Rekluse clutch and now love it. I am waiting for the launch of the Rekluse hand operated rear brake (the one that lets me keep the foot lever) and was wondering about the possibility of a hand operating gear shifter. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? Is it possible? What do you guys think?

    xr250: differences between model years

Is it for sure that the 96-97's were white? The first bike I am looking at is white but is listed as a 1999 bike. Thanks for the info.
