  1. I rode one of these a few blocks at the dealer. Didn't get to really open it up or get it up to speed. I found it to have good power for a 250--not thrilling by any means, but a lot of punch compared to xr250 or similar. Other than the weight of it and the mild power is there anything really bad about it? Would you buy a used one with 10,000 miles? I used to have a drz-s and thought it had a lot of drawbacks: weight, gearing, tall seat. How much of an improvement is this one overall?
  2. If I use regular 10w-40 auto oil will the auto clutch start slipping right away? Any significant problems using "car" oil? I don't want to mess the thing up...thanks

    Looking for a dual sport.

try a dr650. its a big bore but the power is very smooth and tame.

    drz electrics

hi, this post is referring to the atv rectifier(z400), but i figure they must be similar on the drz400e(dont know about the 's' model). Does anyone know which wires go where on the rectifier? There is 6 poles. This will go on another bike for the headlight becuase I picked it up fairly cheap. If you could post a pic of the wires coming out of yours that would sure help. Or just tell me which colors go where in the plug. Thanks pic

    fork oil

I went to swap some springs today and the oil in one of the forks of my xr200 is completely black. the other fork is almost new oil it looks like. I think one of them was rebuilt at some point. My question: will this need new seals? or possibly is it just original oil? Also there seems to be no leakage. What kind oil should I use and what weight?
