  1. I just bought a 2014 DR650 and haven't work on a Suzuki before. As far as the mod's needed to make this bike run good stock I can use some help. Can someone point me to a thread or give me the nuts and bolts of the mods I should start with. I ordered a DJ kit but the hole drilling and air box cut out mod I am at a loss without some more info. I have13 miles on the bike and it runs like poop. I'm not looking at changing the pipe right now I just want it to run good stock. What needs to be done? Thanks Moredesert

  3. Looking for jetting advice for a stock Raptor 350 with a slip on FMF:cool:
  4. Yamaha

I have a stock raptor with an FMF powercore 4 pipe. Do I need a Dyno jet kit or can I get away with a 150 main and raise the needle? I put an extra shim washer under the needle because I only have 1 grove on the needle. Any other jets I should look at?
  5. Here you go. http://sierratraildogs.com/2008_Entryform.htm
  6. It's that time again 2008 I just signed up for the Nevada Mystery 250. This will be my 7th year for this ride. Anymore takers?
  7. I just herd about Brett's bike and van. That really sucks! Here I am looking for info on 405x and I find out this happened. In the Baja 500 my buddy at Trailboss tours had thier van broke into and now 405x. Baja just isn't as much fun as it used to be anymore. Dude that really, really SUCKS.
  8. I went to a 165 main and left the rest alone for this week end. Going back to Stonyford and I'll see how much difference it made. Thanks Mike
  9. First of all the plug is black. If I rail up a hill and shut it off when I get to the top, I'll have to clear it out and here a stack fire before it will start. The higher I go the worse it runs. 6000 ft it just sputters. I ride sea level to 5000 feet. It's like I'm running 3000 feet higher than I am. It starts fine cold, but I have no change on the fuel air screw. I think It might be a little big on the primary or should I drop the needle one clip. I have a 170 main which is dumping too much gas WFO. I'm thinking a 165 main should do the trick.

  11. I had to change my pipe to the WB e2 pipe because my other pipe fell apart. The bike runs a lot richer now and I need to rejet. With the old e series pipe I ran a 170 main and a 68 pilot jet and it's clearly way to rich. The bike is uncorked and stock. Any info would be appreciated. I called White Brothers and they only have spec's for a plugged up stock pipe:excuseme: I guess I need to ask the real experts:thumbsup:
  12. I don't think so. I had a XR600 and the front wheel fit if I used the spacer but the rear did not.
  13. OffRoad

I take it this is a night race. How long is the course?
  14. I've seem metal flakes in my oil on a DRZ400 that I desert raced. I had used the clutch to the point it started to slip from the heat. In time I had to replace the clutch and basket because it would chatter even with new plates. If the BRP was stollen and ridden like a two stroke I can see where you would have metal shavings from the clutch in the oil. On the other hand my BRP has 18k miles on the clutch and I finally replaced it. The clutch basket was so worm out I had to replace the whole thing, but it didn't slip. I just felt it was time to replace it before it goes out when I'm 300 miles south of the border. For the most part the 650R is bullet proof and can take a good licking. I would just keep good oil in it and change it all the time.
  15. It was a great ride even with all the broken bikes. I had to patch a case in the rock single track. A CRF450 went down and took a rock hit. I had it patched up and on the trail in no time. It was nice to meet you as well. See you next year!
