2018 to 2016 throttle grip question

you need to swap the cams. use the "d" cam. the '18 ktm cam does not work with the "old" domino throttle

    300 17-18 pipes

how is the fit on the PC pipe and silencer? I had a set-up on my '14 and fit had a lot to be desired. The FMF set-up fit much better

    2013 PW50 Restrictor plate question

I have a 2017 PW 50, bought brand new from the dealer. Just went to remove the restrictor plate, but it was not there.???? The gasket looks like the pic above, but the "hole" is as big as the gasket and pipe itself. There is no reduction to it. Do these bikes come with the restrictor in place or it is something that is installed during PDI? Is it possible the dealer just removed during the PDI process? thanks

    New PW 50 wont start

I started trouble shooting this thing yesterday. For giggles, I tried starting it before I did anything. Low and behold, the damn thing started after just a few kicks. It took a while to actually run and quite a while to clear out. I started to go through everything, and the first thing I found was the air filter was saturated with oil and fuel??

New PW 50 difficult to start

looking for some help here. I bought my son a brand new 2017 PW 50 in August. It has maybe 3 hours on it. It has become increasingly hard to start. Now, I can't get it going. I can get it to fire with a little starting fluid, but that is it. When I pull the plug it is wet. Getting good spark. I am at altitude, 6500ft, so I am sure it is jetted rich. I did treat the gas for the winter storage. Bike has been in my garage. What should I check? Where to start? I really don't want to take it to the dealer if I don't have to. Thanks

    New PW 50 wont start

I am going to start by draining the gas and adding fresh. i will disconnect the fuel line and make sure the carb is getting fuel. Next will be new a new plug. I have read about disabling the start switch and just making it a run/off switch on older PWs. Does this apply to new ones as welll? Also will be removing the exhaust washer, heard these make for harder starting as well

    Recommendations - 18' 300xcw w JD Jet Kit

I have an '18 300xc. Also had a '17 TX 300. could never get jetting dialed in on either bike. tried JD kits on both, numerous combos. There was always a problem somewhere. I just installed a Keihin 38 PWK from JD, used my own jetting (from previous bike), put on the Motion Pro +5" cable with the "old" style Domino throttle. The bike runs better than it ever has. Jetting is pretty darn good now. Way better than the Mikuni ever was. I think the Mikuni is a pile of junk
  10. that's what I thought as well. I was pretty sure I was seeing the same bolts listed on the fische
  11. thanks! I think I am going to do the same, but throw the Brembo MC on as well
  12. I have a FC450 as well. What exactly did you replace? Did you just replace the slave, or did you do the whole unit from master cylinder down? Thanks

2017 2 stroke idler gear snapped

This is the #1 reason why I bought the '18 instead of the much discounted '17 I was looking at. I would not touch the case or tap for a bigger bolt. If it breaks, I bet KTM will warranty a new case. They obviously have addressed the design flaw with the new updated case. If you tap it, you're on your own.
