    Stator Output

Not sure what headlight you're running, but with my bike I run a trail tech x2 for when I'm on the street and a pair of 18w 4" spot beams I bought off amazon for $11 (US). I haven't had any issues, but I'm turning off my x2 when I'm running my leds. I bought a rectifier here https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/power-supplies/12v-ac-to-dc-converter-module/1725/ works great! Mounted it directly under my handlebars.

    Stator Output

I have a 2006 CRF250X that I added some LED auxiliary lights to. No big deal. When my buddy wanted to add some to his, we checked to see what his stator output was. His 2012 WR450 pumps out more than double (160w) than my Honda stator!! I'm no electrician and my knowledge on the subject isn't great. So my question to you guys is, why is a Yamaha stator pumping out so much more than the Honda? I understand his bike is EFI, but even the carbed models were pumping out I believe 120w of power. Even if I pay to get a high output stator for my Honda, I can't get anywhere near his 160w.

    Honda CBR250R 2013

Great little bike for cruising around local roads. I can't really say anything bad about it. Great a for a beginner, but I do find myself looking for an extra gear. Can't hold that against it since I downsized from a 600.

Absolutely love this bike!! Perfect for Ohio woods riding. Only thing I would like to see is Honda to come out with a fuel injected 250x.

    Best boot for protection?...

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'll probably go check out some Sidi and Gaerne and try em on side by side. I have a pair of Gaerne boots i wear for moto trials that are ridiculously comfortable, but didn't even think about their boots for motocross/enduro style riding.
  10. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but 2015 is coming to an end and I'm wondering what everybody's experiences are. After being a fan of Alpinestars for the past 8 years, I'm giving up on them due to their lack of protection. If a simple stick can puncture the leather and leave me with a nice hospital bill, I don't want them on my feet. I was thinking of the Sidi Crossfire 2 boots because of the hard plastic for protection on the foot/toe area. Any thoughts? I'll be moving to the southwest in a few months and plan on doing a lot of solo night rides, so the last thing I want is to be stranded with an injury that could have been avoided by a better choice in boots. Thanks for any input!!
