  1. Call the company. I had the same situation with my KLX when I saw the B&B sticker on the cylinder I called for a long shot. He told me they actually stamp an identifier on the outside of the cylinder for reference. Its worth a shot... it worked for me!

    Problem with KLX 250SF

it was all installed by previous owner but Im not complaining. I got a smoking deal on a bike that runs great and hauls butt. Simply making recommendations since Mrod wants more speed.

    Problem with KLX 250SF

Add a jet kit, full exhaust w/ header, 351cc bbk w/ tm-33/34 carb from Bill Blue @ B&B cycle and your bike will fly. Ive been up to 89mph on a desert highway and it wasnt even WOT. Knobbies get super wobbly at that speed so I backed off haha. In my opinion you cant beat the Bill Blue BBK and Carb combo with a good exhaust system.

    Klx250sf

My 2010 klx250s blows past 65. I was up to 74 last night but laid off the throttle because I am a novice the night air was starting to get some heavy mist/slight rain. I know it had alot more juice in it so Im sure I could've surpassed 80mph fairly easily. When i bought it it already had some mods on it. I know it has a full FMF Q4 exhaust with header on it so that could be helping with the MPH. Also has ASV levers, short shifter, upgraded suspension....list goes on but i dont think that has anything to do with speed.

Show us your KLX: A picture & video thread

here is my new KLX250S. CA street legal and has some nice upgrades. Waaay to much fun... cant believe I can mash it thru the streets of San Diego!

    Exhaust

My KLX250s came with a full FMF Q4 system. Pipe and Header. It is loud AF but all the more people to hear me coming before they see me coming. I cannot compare gains since it was on the bike when I purchased it but she has some serious pickup for a street legal 250cc and sounds wonderful.

Absolutely love it. Perfect for cruising the beach to surf and mobbing down fire roads in San Diego county. Havent taken out to the desert yet but I am sure it will mash better than any other street legal 250cc

    xt225 or crf230l

Hey guys. New here.. looking for my first dual sport and Im pretty convinced on the XT225 or CRF230L. I rode dirt bikes about 15 years ago as a kid and Ive outgrown the Yamaha Zuma scoot Ive been riding the past 4 years so I want to get an entry level dual sport. My problem is that I am a 6 foot 175lb man and I wonder how sluggish these two bikes would be with me in the saddle but I am weary of getting a 400cc bike since it has been so long since Ive ridden a "real" motorcycle.. I have about 2000-2500 to drop on one and can find either bike in good shape for that price here in or around San Diego County. Also interested in KLX250s but they are a bit more $$$. Any advice out there is much appreciated!
