  1. I bought a 2000 cr125 a couple weeks ago and yesterday i noticed one of the fork seals started leaking. I'm looking for the parts/tools to rebuild both forks but I'm hung up on one thing. what type of forks are they, what i mean by that is are they Big Piston Front Fork, S.F.F.(Separate Function front Fork), Cartridge type, Pressurized separation type. How can I tell what type they are, with out pulling one apart??

    2stroke gear box flush

Hmmm okay. Dont really feel like splitting the cases, but if its what i have to do then i will. Also do you know how to check the gearbox oil??? I know on most bikes theres a bolt on the clutch cover side. Thats not the case with my bike?? Is there even a bolt on this old of a bike or is it in another location

    2stroke gear box flush

I have a 83 suzuki rm250. Sometime last year one of the friction plates exploded. About a month ago i flushed what i thought was all of the metal chunks out and replaced the clutch. Today i pulled the clutch cover off and found more. The bike hasnt been ran since i replaced the clutch. I want to know whats the best way to flush the gear box without having to run the bike? And what to use.

    82 yz 80 carb issues

Found the problem, I had to set the float level. That fixed the problem concerning the power band now i just gotta find what's causing my bike to bog when I'm taking off

Yea I cleaned the air filter last week. I replaced the top end a couple months ago New piston, rings the whole nine yards. How can I check if it has an air leak?

I don't know the jet sizes right off hand, the air filter is a couple months old, probably should replace it. I'm hoping it's not an air leak. If there's an air leak wouldn't that cause erractic idleng?

    Not getting any spark

A couple days ago I went to a buddies house, when I went to leave my bike wouldn't start, at first I thought it was flooded so I had my buddy try to pull start my bike, when that didn't work i decided to have him pull me back to my house. The next day I went to start it and it still wouldn't. The first thing I checked was that it was getting gas, when I seen it was getting gas I decided to check if it was getting any spark, it had absolutely no spark so i replaced the spark plug thinking it had fouled, checked the spark again still no spark. The last thing I could think to check was the magneto. I pulled the cover off and instantly noticed it had rust all over and a couple spots on it had gotten wet. I dried the spots that was wet and checked for spark, that didn't fix it ether. I've also checked any loose connections and didn't find any. What can I do to find out what the problem is?

    82 yz 80 carb issues

Today I took my bike for a ride and noticed there was a few issues. When I took off my bike bogged down and almost died, I had to let off the throttle for a second then start going to keep it from dieing, once I was out riding around I noticed my bikes power band wouldn't kick in, also my bike didn't want to go any faster then 10 mph. I went home and decided to adjust my idle screw and air/fuel mixture screw. After I adjusted them the power band would kick in with no problem in 1st and 2nd gear, when i shifted into 3rd the bike acted like it either lost power or it was bogging down. But the power band would kick in after a second or two of me holding the throttle wide open. I'm no expert when it comes to adjusting things like this I'd really appreciate if some one could tell me how to properly adjust a carb.

    '85 YZ250 rebuild

Thanks I haven't tried tapping the side of the carb yet. I ended up getting the gas out of the case. And what I mean when I say the case it's not the transmission, I'm sure you already know this but on a 2 stroke the transmission and crank are separated. And the gas was sitting in the section where the crank is located. I meant a quick fix for the float sticking. I've got the gas out of the crank
