    tt-r 230 good for me?

The tt-r230 would be perfect for you. Don't believe the hype. Go Blue, Ride Blue, Stay Blue. If you need mods I can tell you how to do it.

I thought us "guys" were suppose to show respect to the thumpettes while in this forum. Shouldn't we do the same on the trail? Acknowledge the rider, not the gender?

TT-R250 too much for total newb?

Well................. I been riding since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Had every kind of bike you can think of, xr's, cr's, kx's, tt's, Bought and sold so many I can't even remember them all. I'm 39 now and I ride an '05 tt-r 230. Days on the track are over for me. Kickstarters are also out the window. So no matter what you get your gonna love it! If you grow out it, sell it and get something else. A tt-r250 is a nice bike. It won't be too much (power) for you but you might think it is kinda heavy. Good Luck

    top speed

6th gear, wide open, no goggles, I can't see a thing. Must be about 60 to 70 mph. Kinda hard to control at that speed and it had a little bump steer. I was in the sandy hard pack, dry conditions, with about a half tank of gas. I'm also HUGE! 6" 220 lbs. So if your not that big you might even be able to go faster.

    Low end bog...

Exactly what ovrrdrive says. The screw on the side of the carb is the idle adjustment. Adjust your idle after you have found the "sweet" spot on the fuel (pilot) mixture.

    Low end bog...

Try playing with your pilot screw. At sea level my wife's 125 with a 17.5 pilot bogged a little so I opened up the fuel (pilot) screw one more turn for a total of 2.5 turns open from seat. This took care of the dreaded bog. Good luck

    TTR230 modded!

Not bad, but I could take him. Seems to still have the enviro-Nazi stuff hooked up. Probably didn't drill out his own jets either, and without getting the engine to flow there wouldn't be much point in changing the drum brake. It stops mine just fine and mine is most likely "THE FASTEST TT-R 230 ON THE PLANET" right now. P.S. I'm no paperboy and if I was in Rome I'd be riding a Gas Gas!
  14. Best Grips I've ever owned! Have them on all our dirtbikes, quads, mountain bikes, and bmx bikes. Very soft and comfortable. Did wonders for my arm pump. Give them a try and get back to us.
