  1. Hey guys, I decided on getting a KTM 150 coming off a kx100 because of all the changes in 2016. For 17, they introduced air forks and I've heard that heavier riders have like air forks over spring, but I'm only around 125-130. Basically I'm asking what's best for me or what are your experiences with either forks and whether its worth it or not because I could always find a leftover 16 for 600 or so cheaper. I've done some research on air vs spring but its all way to complicated for me
  2. I was thinking of a 2016 KTM 150, but now I want to take a $1600 07 RM125 and basically do what MXA did to their's (a little less though). http://motocrossactionmag.com/bike-tests/suzuki-tests/we-ride-a-2006-suzuki-rm125-two-stroke With a brand new 150 nearing 7 grand, I have a lot of room to work with on the RM project. Is it better to start a project with an older 2 stroke, or just ride a brand new bike stock? (considering cost, power, ride-ablity etc.) If you wanna know the specifics, 07 RM125- $1600 TH Racing Motor- $900 - $1450 (haven't decided which package) Vertex Piston+gasket- $150 V-Force Reed Cage- $158 GRR Suspension- $600 Full FMF System- $380 Hinson Clutch Basket- $250 2016 250 front fender/# plate (hookit discount)- $29 Other Plastics- 95.97 Seat Cover(hookit discount)- $46 https://newlondon.craigslist.org/mcy/5574615460.html $4209-$4759 VS. Ktm 150- $6900 Unless i get a left-over for like 6300ish

    Need help choosing bike

I'm the same age, and want the same bike. There is no way to get bored of a 2-stroke, trust me. However, how long have you been riding?

    RM 125 Project

    Thanks so much. I got some new entries that are probably a lot better and cheaper. Since I'm rebuilding it so thourolly, I'm not worried about getting a pristine 125. https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/5609603062.html 2001 Suzuki 125 $1200 https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/snw/5578353645.html 2001 Suzuki RM125 $1400 rhttps://newlondon.craigslist.org/mcy/5574615460.html 2007 125- $1600

    RM 125 Project

Theres a few things I still have to work out and I need recommendations on. I originally had my heart set on a 2016 KTM 150, but the the older 2 strokes are so sick. So, heres a list of parts with prices and 2 bikes I've found. If this affects anything, I'm a fairly experienced supermini rider that has no plans whatsoever to ride a 4 stroke (I don't know how much shipping will be from California to NJ, so I just put it at $500) Link to the 02 125 here. http://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/snw/5601177524.html BIKE- $2500 Package 3 TH Racing motor rebuild- $1450 Vertex Piston+gasket- $150 V-Force Reed Cage- $158 GRR Suspension- $600 Full FMF System- $380 Hinson Clutch Basket- $250 Front Fender/Number plate (hookit discount)- $29 (separate because its from RMZ250) Other Plastics- 95.97 Seat Cover(hookit discount)- $46 $5659 __________________________________________________________________________ Link to the 07 125 here. https://visalia.craigslist.org/mcy/5544162031.html BIKE- $1500 All of the stuff id put on the 02- $3159 Complete Wheels- $600 Ship bike from Cali- $500? $5759 __________________________________________________________________________ PLEASE- Let me know if first, i should do this instead of the KTM, and if what I'm doing is too little/too much and what I can do to better the build. Time and difficulty isn't a problem, money is. That TMX RM125 inspired me btw.
