    Atv mz 100

Howdy, I have an MZ 100 atv that we have had for 8 years. A bit of backround on the quad, they were built in Germany and apparantly still are under the Apache brand. They are 2 stroke, oil injected, auto trans similar to a polaris 90. This thing has been bullet proof, through 5 grandkids thrashing it plus, as Ive found out on facebook, my son and daughter in law borrowed it and a trx 250x that we also own for a kids birthday party, and many many of the adults were also beating the crap out of them. It has ultimately survived, Ive maintained it by making and or matching parts and patching the plastic. What I need is both sprockets and a chain. Ive found a store in Germany that stocks parts for the model I have however he doesnt ship outside of europe. Anyone have any ideas Id really appreciate it!

    Raising oil cooler

a place that makes hydraulic hoses can make longer hoses. If the fittings are proprietary the tubes can be cut off the old lines and JIC fittings installed onto the cut ends of the lines. Then a simple JIC hydraulic line could be fabbed up the right length

    NEED HELP! 2001 400ex

I agree with Doug the Slug and would also check the valve clearances as well. Has any mods been done?

    NEED HELP! 2001 400ex

My trx 400 has a yoshimira exhaust you can take apart. clean with a wire brush. Is it possible the packing could be partially blocking the exhaust? How does it run other than the exhaust getting hot?

    A noob with noob questions

Sorry to take so long to respond. You were spot on, the intake was loose and after tightening it up the problem seems to be solved. Thanks again
  8. I have two atvs, an MZ 100 that I've had for 8 years. The grandkids ride it hard and I would love to find a source of parts. Any ideas? To date I've made my own but there will come a day........ Second question is I also have a recently acquired a 1992 Honda trx250x, also a very well built machine that's in good shape. It has a FMF exhaust and a KN air filter and it has a drop in idle speed after running for an hour or so. I'm kind of puzzled by this. My background has always been with diesel power so carberators are way outside my depth. Could jetting be causing this? Or if jetting were causing it wouldn't it be constant? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for having me!
