    My SM ride, stoked !

I am gonna get a smaller fender soon, thanks. This was a shot from the night I got the wheels. $600 for both with new pilot sport tires was a steal.

Been a long time, new look.

My 2006 Ca Plated bike got a new look last night. Lots of fun on streets, and cheap wheelies. Have been through too many nobbies the past 5-6yrs....lol Cheers Jim Ps, it's been forever since I popped in.

    My SM ride, stoked !

I have had a CA Plated 2006 Honda CRF450x for about 6yrs now.... But I just scored these brand new Warp9/Michelin wheels and tires last night for $600. Gotta love craigslist baby. Installed them and logged about 100mi on a test run. Too much fun and wheelies come cheap. I am stoked to finally have a real SM ride. Too bad San Diego now has the biggest rain storm in 30 years, she will have to wait a few days to get sunny again. Cheers Jim

    Yamaha My new Yamaha YFZ450

I was going to buy a 2012, but it was gonna set me back 5k. So I got a new (to me) 2004 YFZ450. It literally has been ridden a handful of times. And for $2500 I felt was a better option. I will be doing the oil system upgrade ASAP. I am going to keep mods modest, as it isn't my main ride. Adding pipe, filter and jetting is next. Can anyone suggest proper jetting for sea level? I live in San Diego. Will be used in sand dunes and ocotillo wells, mountains occasionally at 4,000 ft. Any input and advice is much appreciated Thx Jim

The X goes on Jenny Craig

The PMB kickstands are the ticket, those puppies are super nice, strong and trick. Had one on my R model, and it sure made kicking easier on longer days. I want one for my x, just cause they fit and look so much nicer. I am not so weight concerned, matter of fact just added BD rear pegs and have given 2 of my kids a ride around town. You should have seen the kids trip on my 13yr old being picked up from school on a dirtbike, ven the dads were gawking, ha ha

The garage that holds the Bikes!!!

Half my garage is dirtbikes and quads, this is the other half.
  10. I have also always loved the clean sano look of the factory Honda graphics, so it is very hard to beat that look if not impossible. When I got my bike it had aftermarket graphics which are very nice, but I would love to have a clean, stock set even more. It gives that low profile, yet tricked out look to your bike with all the mods. Your TJ elsinore kit is very dope, and well done, but looking at the pics stacked would have to vote Honda red man. I was gonna be the first to post on this, but wanted to see what others might say first. Keep the TJ setup, but rock Honda red for awhile. Eventually I want to get a stock set for my ride, and maybe a white set with the Honda Crf450x euro stickers (Australia). Just ordered the rear pegs from BD to give my 13yr old son a few rides, since I pick him up from school everday. Gonna suprise him this week

    Bulgarian CRF450X project. !!!

Your work is commited and done in the style you wanted, so I think it is great. That is a ton of hours sweating and spinning wrenches. I dont care for the red tires, never have liked colored rubber. And I think the swingarm powdrercoated to match the frame would be great, with black tires. Just my thoughts, but again..if it is how you wanted it, then you should be very proud and enjoy the bike for many years. Nice work !!! Jim

It can be done, I am living proof. And my buddy just plated his 05 a few months ago. Just do searches and be persistant, but not pushy. Good luck

    California Plated CRF 450x

My good friend rescently bought a Ca green stickered 05, and plated it here in Ca. It can still be done, but not easy, and through offsite sources. Persistant people win. *please no pm's I cant be of help sorry*
