    KTM 2012-2016 Parts and accessories

Hey, I'm checking on that seat. Will it fit a 14' 500 exc? Can you send the part number so I can check it? Whats your 20 for an idea of shipping? Is it hammered or decent? Thanks, Chad

2016 500 EXC has too much power

Sorry, I thought you were making a joke. Every other post is about how to get more power from this already insane bike. I have just spent some coin on making it smooth. Euro map, tps adjustment and FMF 4.1. It took the twitch out and seems to make for an even power delivery. Good luck taming the beast!

2014 500 exc, so much confusion....

I decided to go with an FMF 4.1 with the DB insert, but def not nearly as quiet as stock. I found out the bike does have a euro map, but the TPS was not adjusted. So adjusted to .64~. Soo much more smooth and even delivery! A lot less twitchy down low and power just comes on nice and smooth. Haven't had a chance for any off road, that has to wait until next week. Thanks for all the input guys!!

    FMF 2014 500 exc

My 14’ OEM did. Are you saying the FMF doesn’t for this bike? I rode it for about 15 minutes after install with the high temp silicone and seemed fine. Although this is nothing compared to 90degree day for 5-6 hours. The silicone is rated for 650 degrees. Thanks!

    FMF 2014 500 exc

Thanks Ptech, I thought it strange but the mounts for the can allow little movement and the high temp silicone on the joint kinda seem sufficient. Was really just concerned about back pressure. But after riding with the adjusted TPS, euro map and open exhaust the bike is sooo much more smooth!!

    FMF 2014 500 exc

I just bought and installed a FMF 4.1 rct. I installed then went to put the spring back on but no tab to hook it to on the FMF side. Is this the standard or have I got the wrong silencer? TIA

    14'500 exc

Hi all, I got a set of the Axis passenger pegs to fit my 14' 500 exc. The bike does have the alloy sub-frame, but I'm curious if anyone has used this set up with success without destroying the sub-frame or their wife/gf? Short trips like errands and rides out to the coast for hiking. 10-15 miles on the longer rides, and likely 0 miles on the highway, as she is not super stoked about riding. But our job kinda doesn't allow multiple vehicles. Yachties. Also shopping a sumo set up at the moment too. Thanks folks!!

    USB charger

I think I’m going to go direct from the battery with a fuse and a switch. That HWDB panel has the space for a button. Thanks for the input guys!

    USB charger

I saw somewhere that the stator puts out 195 watts on the 14' and newer. It was substantially higher than previous years, pre fuel injection. So I was wondering if they added all that power for fuel injection and pump and nothing left to spare? I'm sure there is but don't want to stress the system.....

    USB charger

I tried to search the area but found no bombs. I've just purchased Highway dirt bikes guards with the addition of the powerlet adapter plate. I would like to charge the the iphone or likely the $75 samsung burner phone for navigation and the gopro dual battery charger. I can't seem to figure if the stator can handle this load. I have replaced the stock headlight with LED so that frees up a few amps but will the stock stator/rectifier handle the loads of the dual USB situation? Also, lame question cuz I'm not near the bike at the mo, but is there a prearranged connector on the 14' exc models or do I have to go direct to another power supply like the headlight wire to supply the USB? Thanks ya'll!!

This bike is CHEAP compared to the 990!! Not sure how my wife agreed to this one either. I will check in to the fuel pump. Thanks for the info guys. I have the TPS tool, just have to get back to the bike and start tweaking! Its half of the fun..

2014 500 exc, so much confusion....

Yea, I got caught up over at advrider trying to sort out the 990 and in the end it came down to mapping and getting the bike tuned for itself instead of the available maps on the web. It seems via reading sooo much between here and there that there are many options. All seem to scream for more power, I would like an even running bike with a bit of life in it that won’t leave me stranded due to stresses applied by electronics. It does appear I can get by with available resources instead of going for a dyno for this specific bike. Looking a maybe doing only an end cap vs. an entire exhaust system. I’d like to keep the db’s as low as possible too. Maybe I want too much?

So based on those comments, vortex will control all? Stock exhaust, and smog delete? What about TPS setting?

So did you make this exhaust change with the Euro map and no other changes? Other than, I'm sure, de-smog? Or you running the Vortex?
