    KLR 650 exhaust

Usually I stick to the mini forums, but a friend of mine just picked up a 1999 KLR650 for around $3500. He likes it and all, but he says that it backfires under deceleration. He doesnt like that it is so loud (due to the supertrapp exhaust) and im wondering if the backfiring is caused by the jeeting being off, or if it is from the silencer... also, how much could I get a stock exhaust for?

    Powering down a KX??

My recommendation would be just to teach her not to gas it hard... other wise she might get used to having the limiter on there... Also, if she tries to climb any hills, she will need to be using the powerband...... good luck!

    pipe for kx 125

depends on what you use the bike for... every pipe is designed to give different kinds of power.

tb 88cc bbk vs. stock klx110 motor

110's have more speed, due to the taller gearing... The 88cc kit will produce more power, and have better acceleration... 88cc BBK it is

    New Carb

when you turn the carb on, it increases the amount of fuel/air you get... that means it richens it up... it seems like your running a bit lean... try to bump your main jet up a little... you may even want to just try adjusting the needle in the carb... here, this should help... http://www.ministothemax.com/hop_ups_carb_tuning.htm

    cams

here... this should tell you everything you need to know about cams... http://auto.howstuffworks.com/camshaft.htm but the jist of it is they move the valves and allow gas and air (intake valve) to get into the cylinder, and exaust (exhaust valve) to be released from the cylinder... The lobes (little bumps on it) on hi-Performance cams are shaped a little differently then those on the stock cam(s).... hope this helps

    same bike?

I would highly doubt that the bike in those pics is not the same kind of bike the guy is selling.... that thing looks like it will take a max of 3 feet of air...

chaparral-racing no good to order from

they can do stuff like that and get away with it... with how many people that shop there, they wont care if they lose a few customers.... I never order stuff from there, I know it will take around a month for the to get it in.... They do have pretty good prices on tires though... but you pay out the butt for installation... I find that the best places to order from are those little shops that you can find all over the place... I get almost all my stuff through a place called cycle rider... they are awesome... it may cost a few extra bucks, but you get it when you need it... I ordered a sprocket yesterday, picking it up tomorrow or the day after

    Sand maintenance

I'm am probably going to take a trip to glamis in the next couple weeks, and am wondering what preparations I should make to my bike, and what I should do when I get back... I know that sand tears up your bike, so I would like to know what I can do to help minimalize the damage, and repair it... by the way, I am getting filter skins for my bike and am gearing down... thanks for the help
