Ultimately, I think FRO management is to blame.

    Cleaning a Bike

I do what wr250ish does to my.... er uh... wr250f. I average a brutal ride a week too! I wet the bike and knock off mud with a cheapy electric pressure washer ($90), then I apply full strength "shout" ($5 large walmart) to the bike with a foam gun ($15 amazon) hooked to the pressure washer (it doesn't foam, but it applies the shout really well). Let it sit 5 minutes and then close up pressure wash clean. Finish off entire bike with a can of foaming Armor All Tire shine ($4 at walmart) and you will look brand new. Dry with blower and terrorize the hood just the same. Obviously don;t spray grips, kicker, seat and footpegs with Armor All. 2 times a year it might get a full detail (tank of, plastics off). Pressure wash boots along with bike, wash and detail chest protector, knee and elbow pads 2 times a year or for races. Done in about 20 minutes at the most.

Is it true that the awesome single track right next to the old Burma Road parking lot has been destroyed for ATV/UTV racing?

Southernend and I beat a bunch of single track in on Burma Sunday morning so at least some of it is cleared out to silver creek.

Appears that the official sign is up at St Kierns parking (Valley Road) mentioning the lot is relocated. Sorry for the bad picture. The new lot is HUGE and was EMPTY and the entry road is a bit rough. There is a sign on Valley Road pointing towards the new lot at the Highridge Park Road intersection. It has a double trail down to the road right near the baseball diamonds (if you have ever noticed them). Its right near where the powered up drag line sits. They should put signs up like "SLOW" or "Ride Respectfully" or "No WAKE ZONE". It was a bit chaotic. I almost got hit by an ATV at old Kierns Lot which was FILLED with tow vehicles "Famous Reading Outdoors Parking Lot Relocated"

    Advice on WR250F PLEASE!

Got my 2005 for $2000 in mint condition in 2013. Sounds pricey. Good bike though.

Whos got a good handlebar phone mount?

ok Guys.. Thanks for all your suggestions. I went with a Scosche HANDLEIT PRO Weather Resistant Handlebar Mount For Mobile Devices for $9.99. A MOTOPOWER 0609A 3.1Amp Motorcycle USB Charger Kit for $9.99 and some VELCRO 1-Wrap straps for around $4 and came up with the following. I have used it 3 rides now and crashed plenty of times and the thing held on and I Never run out of power. I typically map my explorations via GPX Tracker free app, export and import into my Google Map places and can now follow where I was before visually or navigate to trail from afar. Works really well... I included a picture of it in action from view point. Thanks guys!

I like it. Is that a bark buster bar clamp?

Ingenious. I like it. Gives me ideas for sure
  10. I took my old iPhone, dropped my SIM card into it and mounted it on my handlebars using my RAM mount. I can follow my GPS tracks via google maps, track new trails, take pictures and watch Netflix while running single track. Actually I don't watch netflix. It comes in really handy and has basically survived just about all the gnarly single track and crashes I have put it through. However...the RAM mount is just to big and I already bent a finger on it. I'd like to consider something else...a little less intrusive and vulnerable. Anyone else come up with, use or found a good phone mounting system?

I know this is late but.... FRO has a permit lot located at 801 Arch St, Ashland, PA 17921. Did u find any good single track in that area?

thank you cellar! I tried the Goldentyre fatty and just could not get used to it. I loved the off camber grip and the smoothness over rocks but could not calm down the deflection or control it as accurately. Bunch of guys love them that I know. I hear more and more about this X30...thanks for the feedback, will have to give it a try after my trip

thanks for the feedback Kosmic... Hope to be on front bibs by January. And thanks for the videos...I find videos but am never sure if its the park I am going to. Shit trail looked exhausting. Buck Nasty finally gave me an idea of some of the rock riding I might encounter, thanks. Looking forward to it all! Our local shop trucks bikes out to this area every January (12-19 this year)... 20 bikes total. This is my first year, but many guys are repeats...so I won;t be a total noob out there.
