  1. No worries, thanks for the tip
  2. Yep, had a bad battery so upgraded to lithium iron. Works a treat now!! I just thought that even if the battery was bad it would at least start by kicking it
  3. Hey TT people, i'm brand knew to this forum so i'm really sorry if this has already had a topic created... I have a 2004 WR450F, the problem i have is when you push the ignition button the red light doesn't come on. The electric start does nothing, not even the solenoid clicking sound of a dead battery. You can kick it and it'll fire but wont start. If you connect jumper leads from another battery or even a battery charger, when you push the ignition button the red light comes on and when you press the electric start it first up and runs beautifully. Once you remove what ever external power source you have connected, she runs for about 30 - 40 seconds then dies... Is this just a dead battery or is the magneto dead???? Please any help would be really appreciated as i'm supposed to be going riding tomorrow (saturday) and it's 8pm here so chances of getting her to a mechanic in time are a little slim haha. Thanks guys!
