Can't figure out what wrong with my 125

Okay so the owner before me had it set up wrong I'm guessing... so I can't start my bike while its in 1st gear anymore? And how would I bump start it if I ever had to? Sorry not trying to be a brat or anything just wondering why it would be like that non of my other bikes are like that

So I measured out my oil put it in the bike went for a few ride over the past few days. When I drained my oil it was low. So I went and changed the crank seals and everything is all good there now. Like I said before I understand that the clutch drag is "normal" but the bike wasn't always like this. Yeah if I got it and it was like that I'd be fine with this. But because it wasn't always like this and I like my bikes running mint I want to find out if there is a way I can get it back to the way it was before. Where no matter what gear it's in on or off with the clutch is in I can role the bike. It's not that I'm worried about every little thing it just that I want to see if I can get the bike back to running the same way it was all last year

When I originally changed the oil in filled the 660 as said on the side of the case. I don't know exactly what it's at now but I do know I'm loosing oil. I just don't know how fast. Is it normal to be burning some oil. My compression feels fine so I don't think it's the topend. Planning on doing a compression test when I get a chance. What other reasons could be causing my lose of oil?

So far just with the check screw but yes tomorrow in going to check with a measuring cup or something. Then go 4 a ride and check again. See see if it's disappearing and how much how fast

I hear you guys saying the clutch sticking isn't a problem but is there a way to make it not do that anymore. I've had the bike all summer and it was never like this. I'd rather have it the way it was before, where I could role it no problems no matter what.

No problem? So it's just because the oil is 2 cold and thick in this Canadian winter weather? Because this never used to happen before. Tomorrow I'm going to check how it rolls when the bike is warm and off.
  7. Hey guys new to the thumper. Hoping you guys can help me figure out what's wrong with my 05 yz 125. So the 1st issue I noticed was that when the bike is off, if I put it into gear and pull the clutch all the way in the bike won't role. But when the bike is on everything works fine role, shifts and rides like a dream. So I changed the oil still same problem. Took my clutch apart no grooves so I cleaned the plates and reinstalled everything. My pressure plate is moving fine and everything. I also adjusted the cable tension I'm at a dimes width of play right now. What is keeping my clutch from sticking only when the bike is off. Could it be because of the cold weather and the oil is just to thick it's causing the plates to stick together? Now the second issue. When I was checking my clutch I noticed my oil was low so I topped it up again went for a short ride. Didn't notice any blue smoke or anything dripping from the bike. So today I warmed up the bike and checked the oil and it was a little low again. I topped it up and am going to check it again to see if it's leaking from a seal in the case or if it's just burning oil. Could this low oil also be the reason for my clutch sticking??? Any thoughts or ideas on why these issues are happening or how i can test for the problem. Or if you know what's wrong how do I fix it???
