  1. i picked up a 2008 today for $1200. I'm gonna do a top and bottom rebuild and it needs tires and a few odds and ends like some missing bolts. I will be in it for under 2k i think
  2. U r mis-reading the context of fair. They are not "fair" prices because they r not what bikes are actually selling for. Not because they r more than what i want to pay. "Fair market price" is what i was referring to... Not a standard of equality.
  3. The pricing books are based on market research, CL is FULL of bikes that have inflated asking prices and sit on there for months... Thats the my whole point, ppl r asking crazy $ and not selling but they wont come off the price. Now ppl decide to sell a bike and see what ppl on CL are asking for similar machines and think thats what theirs is worth... Just another ant falling in line... Has anyone on here honestly paid $2500 for a 2000-2003 yz125? $1600-2600 for a 03-04 yz250f? These are not fair prices for these bikes, even if some idiots r paying that for them
  4. I found a 2007 yz250f for a fair price. Any issues w this model yr?
  5. I am in Florida, looking for a 250 4 stroke for $1500 or less. Just talked to another guy w a 2004 who wants $1600! NADA is $910!

  7. Thats the conclusion i was coming to. Wuts the deal w people asking so much for used bikes? About 3 yrs ago i had a 2003 yz125 ran great and took me months to sell it for $900. Now ppl want 2000-2500 for the same bike? Who is paying these crazy prices. Every bike i see has and asking price twice the NADA value!
  8. Looking at buying a 2001 yz250f thats in good shape overall, prettymuch stock w new tires and plastics but the motor is locked up and owner said its the bottom end thats locked up. $600 is the priced id be paying then doing a bottom and top rebuild. Is it worth it? I'm perfectly capable of doing all the work myself.
