  1. I found these bomber industrial zip ties at 1/2" thick and figure I would give them a shot to see how it goes until I can get a weld on it.
  2. In the meantime, I got the itch and can't wait.
  3. Looks like I will have this mocked up on my bike as well. What size bolt did you end up using? I was thinking of going longer as I would like the pedal to be lower than I was able to do stock.
  4. For what it's worth, dealer took about 4 milliseconds to tell me that Honda would not cover since impact occurred. Oh well.
  5. Yeesh, Don't know what you're so salty about? I never said I expected Honda to do anything or that I was going to try and fleece them. I'm new to the forum and this bike and simply asked for advice. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
  6. We are pretty fortunate, I can ride to trailheads via county roads out my back yard shown here. I grew up in Boston riding around abandoned dumps and job sites, so this is a nice change of pace and what pushed me to get into riding again after being absent for 10+ years. Needless to say, the stuff out west is kicking my ass big time.
  7. It was just bent, but it was also cracked at the bend so when I went to bend it back it snapped off. [emoji17]
  8. I'll check it out. I'm in rural Idaho on the Wyoming border, where you can pretty much get away with registering a donkey on wheels as a vehicle. Restrictions are pretty low.
  9. I never knew people insured their dirt bikes. I trail ride, is it suggested?
  10. The pedal itself is fine, it's the small bolt shown that is welded to the frame that adjusts the height of the pedal. I don't see how it can be replaced other than welding it back on?
  11. Was out riding and dumped the bike and the weld snapped off that holds the bolt that adjusts the rear brake pedal. Now the pedal is way to high and no way to adjust. Bike is 4 months old. I didn't wreck hard enough where I thought this would have broke. But crazier things have happened I suppose. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  12. 5'6 and 115lb MAYBE on a good day. Intermediate rider getting back into it after close to a decade and the 230 was chosen for size, reliability and value. Aside from having to tinker with the jetting constantly, I'm happy. I can tippy toe the ground, but didn't want to go to big into a full 250. I didn't think I needed the extra power with my size and have nothing to prove to anybody. Uncorked and jetted, it's just fine. Fun!

Thanks for the response, I've got it tucked in the frame, I don't see a specific spot to put it behind number plate, as I've got the headlight wired up there and it would seem like a weird fit, is there generally a bracket or specific space it's in? Been looking for a 2017 shop manual but can't seem to find one.
  15. Took my tank off and can't seem to slide 8t back on as this harness is restricting it, where is it supposed to be tucked? Thanks!
