  2. I was just wondering what you all think of a 520exc. Are there any problems mechanically and are they a nice bike for road use? what is a good price?
  3. First thing I would do is check Valves, I also had low compression on my 04 and now that they are in spec it's like new

  5. It was rebuilt by a local place but they know their stuff and the fuel is new. Shouldn't it at least fire on starting fluid though?
  6. I have been trying to start a 1980 xl500 recently and the thing won't even fire. The carb was just rebuilt and it has great spark and I sprayed starting fluid in to try to get it to pop. The bike feels like it has low compression but I feel like it would still start. I am about ready to set the thing on fire
  7. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get a stripped flat headed screw out of a carb. I could be wrong but I believe that it is the fuel mixture screw
