    DO NOT CHANGE YOUR OIL TO MAKE UP FOR JETTING CHANGES!!!!!! big no no in the world of doing it right. Start with your pilot jet, this all starts at idle. turn the idle down to where its just about running then turn in the air screw(should normally be between 1-2 1/2 turn out. if it not change pilot. should run well on low idle. then move onto the main jet. I like to do long straights full out then pull the clutch in and kill the bike. check the sparkplug for coloration. should be light brown tan, if any white or gray appears you have gone to lean. don't worry thought just richin up the main jet setup one notch and should be good to go! prob wont have to touch the needle unless you really want to tune it.

    AS stands for Air Screw adjustment which is located on the side of your carb usually a flat head. Should be between 3 to 1 turns out if correct PJ is installed. As for 3rd clip position you have a needle in your carb with a C clip with can be moved up or down. Needle effects 1/4 to 1/2 throttle. Also do you ever ride in the Northern Colorado?

    My apology, mine does say drive plate first. but yours clearly says friction first.

    So in the Rekluse manual it specifically says to put a DRIVE PLATE in first. Install the clutch pack starting with a drive plate. Alternate drive plates and friction disks. This post is because some simply skipped reading the installing manual and just threw in a highly advanced clutch. It works better for a reason. Rekluse is a well made product no doubts.

    YZ250X 2017 Motocross and Endro build

    First plan for the bike is the front suspension which i sent off to Pro-Action in Loveland, CO. I was bottoming out on larger jumps. I don"t blame the bike its a endurocross/trail bike! i plan i also putting a Boyesen rad valve system in for even smoother power, will see.

  10. Recently picked up a brand new YZ250x 2017 and this is my log on why i think this is the best Motocross and Endrocross 2 stroke out there! Currently the bike is all stock! I've made a few adjustment for my carb such as a 172main and a 48 pj. right on the mark for main jetting in Colorado. Power is nothing but smooth and predictable one of the best 2 stroke iI've ever rode! As time goes on i will add parts to this bike and keep you guys updated on what they do! hope everyone's excited!     Nice build! i recently bought a YZ250x and love it! need to find out how to make a removable spark arrestor as i race too. Where about do you live in colorado?
