    The nuts are stripped

You see, that’s not the problem. The thread isn’t stripped. Its the head. The wrench doesn’t grab on to the head just causing it to slip and round out the head. I’m definitely going to try the cold chisel method

That’s a good idea. If all else fails, I’ll probably just take it to a machine shop or something. Seriously, stripped bolts always stop something that I’m doing, whether it’s a rebuild or just a freakin sprocket lol.

Yes I’m using that type, but all I can use is the open end wrench side

2012 rmz 250 sprocket nuts stripped!

No, even if so I couldn’t fit the socket type side since the spokes are in the way, all I can use is the open end wrench side

Planning on reusing the Allen key heads, obviously not the nuts.

They don’t look rounded on camera, but it’s only because I’ve been careful to totally not round off the bolt completely so I’m not screwed lol

2012 rmz 250 sprocket nuts stripped!

Hey guys, I have a 2012 rmz 250 that broke a tooth on the rear sprocket. I got the wheel taken off, was able to crack 2 nuts loose, but the other 3 seem to be rounding off the bolt. I used just a normal 12 mm wrench to crack them loose. With the other 3, I tried the 12 on them, and it would start to slip and round the bolt. I’ve tried adding wd40 to the threads and head, still no budge. I’ve tried adding heat, still no budge. The bolts are also snuggled against the spokes, so it’s hard to fit vise grips in there. I can send pictures, but if anybody has advice please help!
