    Cush Drive on 450

Hello TT peeps. I currently have an 11' Ktm 450 exc which i am converting to sumo. Still on the fence about getting cush drive rims or standard rims. Not too much info on what cush drive does for wheelies. I know its smoother on the tranny and chain but will it make much of a difference with slower wheelies/stunting? I had a DRZ with standard rims and slower wheelies were very choppy and almost impossible to control smoothly. Any advice/tips/help will be much appreciated. Also.... will 5" rims be pushing it for chain rub? Should i just stick with 4.25"?

    DRZ 400 Pics

  3. *pic is my goal if I can or at least as close* Hi there, I'm currently looking at buying a second hand KTM EXC 450 and converting to supermoto. I have converted a DRZ400E but everyone knows they are piss easy. I have read a bit about exc sumo rim sizes and have found a few people struggle with chain rubbing on rear with 4.25x17. Just wanting any tips or advice from someone who has done it before and what works best. Also any other tips or advice for converting to sumo (etc. exhausts, steering dampers, handbrake setup, frame sliders/protection, hand guards, any thing else that is a must for this model). I live in New Zealand and don't mind spending a bit on parts but would like to buy the rims here as it would be faster/a lot cheaper. Any advice is appreciated, cheers.

    CRF250X Converion to SM Tips

I am currently in the thought process of purchasing a crf250x and converting to supermoto to get it registered for road use. Just wondering if anyone has converted and what tips you would have for me to maybe make it easier? I already have a set of SM wheels off my drz that will fit with new spacers. Any advice will help!

    Suspension set up for wheelies

I find having it from the middle of you're setting - slightly harder helps when you are at balance point. You shouldn't worry about getting it up cause you can get it up any old how. Its how it feels when you're up there. Having it softish allows me, at least, to have a easy balance point with a bit of slack. Kinda hard to explain... But when its really stiff you are moving the whole bike rather than just the swingarm
