  1. Wrong. The KX450F comes with DLC (Diamond Like Coating) on its lower tubes. The 09 KX250F comes with a TI coating. Not TiN. Read:
  2. We bought a 08 RMZ250 a little while ago that was also a "pro" bike. It was pretty beat, but for only $3000 it was a great deal. Be careful what you buy...
  3. Nice! Bet that Vortex ignition will be fun to play with.
  4. Yup^ Set your clickers all in the middle of the range and go from there...
  5. Great post! I gave you some good gas.
  6. I don't think you can use anything except an Athena gasket kit for their big bore kits...
  7. I was just suggesting that you might have more luck posting in that forum since it is for your specific bike. Here is on the first page that should get you started: http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=815370

  9. Riverfront or e-street?
  10. I love posting that link for people!
  11. Its not really an issue. It was more common on 05s. Its actually kind of a good thing. Instead of it destroying the cylinder, it cracks and you replace it....
  12. Cool! Ive been interested in this fluid for a while too. Please let us know what you think! With that one shim being changed, is he charging you for a re valve? Yeah, stock fluid is really just for suspension break in....
  13. Well as long as he wasn't blatantly lying, most peoples ideas/opinions usually have at least small amount of truth to them... We probably aren't hearing the entire story or his reasoning behind why not to use the front break, or maybe this was just a sound byte taken out of context? Maybe he was referring to the idea that you should try to not use your breaks at all, come in hot and just lay it over? A friend of mine took a class from someone that works with Mike Alessi and on one of the SoCal tracks he said that Alessi only uses the breaks in a couple of corners... I'm sure he didn't say "never ever, under no circumstances, touch the front brake." That would obviously be ridiculous...
  14. Nice.
  15. use RG3
