    YZ250X cycra issues

ok. so the numbers should go towards the bar pad then. try that, also heres what i was talking about previously.

    YZ250X cycra issues

i was talking about the fork bracket that holds the brake line to the fork, take that off. then take the number plate off and put the brake cable behind the plate. ill try and find an example.

ok. not sure which bars come stock on a newer yzx but is your bar thick in the middle than towards the grips thin? If it is then you have 1 1/8 bars. If its thin all the way, then you have standard 7/8 bars.

    YZ250X cycra issues

a yz250. also that little for bracket was broken on mine. so i took it off, and the cable was free, so i stuffed it behind the number plate. I had it taped on the number plate before i got handguards due to it smacking the plate while riding. Try to take the bracket off, put the cable behind the plate and mount the brackets.

hmm. do you have the bar clamps backwards? I know on mine the directions said to have the numbers on the clamps facing the bar pad. Also what bars are you running? 1 1/8 or 7/8s?

the little "U" in the bar clamp piece is for the number plate to go behind, also the brake goes behind the number plate. (Worked for my bike and it gives the brake line up top extra protection behind the plate). Be creative. Those are amazing handguards.

engine braking a 250 2 stroke (woods riding)

i believe we run my brothers kx250 and our spare blaster 200 at a 32:1 or 40:1. But i heard engine braking down a steep hill is bad. I ride a TTR and when going down steep stuff i usually pull the clutch in anyways so when i lock the rear wheel up it wont stall out. Riding 2 strokes is a whole new thing to me though, i just want to be able to ride faster in the woods. The TTR just ain't cutting it anymore. lol

Why dirt bikers don't like quads

I only like quads for riding in the mud. Other than that I don't like them that much. Why? Because the turning radius is super wide, sitting is awkward, got to watch that you don't catch the a-arm on anything and bend it, etc reasons as to why. Also i don't like them on trails because we ride at this place that has service roads and quads fly down them around corners and nearly hit everyone.

2005 YZ250 UFO Restyle Kit Questions!

is your yz the one that has the number plate that holds with the "pins"? Did you use a nut/bolt to hold it on? And what did you trim? It looks like it fits like it would on a newer yz.

2005 YZ250 UFO Restyle Kit Questions!

ok. I just want everything to work and not look like crap. I would get a 2006 yz250 since it has the upgraded suspension but all of them in my area are like 3k+ and their usually ragged.

2005 YZ250 UFO Restyle Kit Questions!

Oh ok. If the front number plate wont line up then do you use the ugly looking stock one? How would you attach the restyled one? Also drilling holes in the front fender isn't an issue.
  12. So i have a 2005 YZ250 and want to do the UFO Restyle kit plastics on it. I know the 2006-14 yz kits bolt straight up like stock ones. The question is, has anyone done the UFO Restyle plastics on their 05 YZ250 and it line straight up with no issues? I wouldn't worry so much but my experience with "modifying" plastics is VERY POOR and i really don't want to deal with the hassle. Thanks!
  13. Found this good looking 2008 YZ250 on craigslist in my area for $2500. Guy says it runs good, very powerful. Has full FMF exhaust, suspension done by factory connection, protaper bars, cycra probend guards, restyle plastics kit, and oversized gas tank. Theres a photo. (only one he posted) Is there anything bad about the 2008 yz's? 2006 and up has the SSS forks? I have been scouring for a 2stroke forever.

engine braking a 250 2 stroke (woods riding)

figured. I just wasn't sure. thanks for the clarification. true true. thanks for the answer!
  15. So this is a question i have been wondering about for a while. I have seen on youtube many people blow their 125/250s up flying down the highway and let off the gas(coast) and not use the clutch. So my question is, is it harmful to engine brake a 2 stroke while woods riding? Might seem weird but i need an answer. I trail ride and ride some technical stuff on a TTR230. A lot of it's tight and open straight away's into corners and up and down steep hills (So i won't really be getting into higher gears, rpms as say you would like on an mx track). Say i am flying through the woods down a straightaway into a corner, i only use my front and back brakes, no clutch, is that bad for the engine? Also going down a hill, locking up the back wheel, feathering the clutch, is that bad for the engine? The questions i asked above may be stupid but if someone with some experience riding woods on a 2stroke could fill me in, i would definitely appreciate it. thanks TT!
