  1. Fixed it!!!!!!!!!! You cannot check spark visually on a fuel injected Suzuki, it will only spark once every 20 kicks. Verified with a new bike off of a dealership . Try it... pulled the motor down to find a cracked piston.. No compression , no start. Yea!!!!
  2. Swapped another temp sensor from a 250 ( same part number)and his bike works and mine still is same. I guess I'll have to order another tps . The other that I tried was off a carb bike but I set it up exactly as the manual says. .63 then ramps up to 3.85 worked same as my original? It's weird that my peak voltage is normal on cps and my peak voltage is good at 170v but only if I massage throttle around 1/4 to get spark! That's my basis that my stator is good. I guess a new tps is in order, I can't believe I can't find another bike to test with, there are none around.

  4. OK...once again, bike quit and won't start...not out of gas! i have been chasing spark..if you remove plug and place in plug cap, grounds out and check for spark. No spark if I hold throttle at 1/4 I get spark for a while they drops off. put my ecu on another bike and it runs. I have since gotten a new ecu ,no spark. replaced stator-same replaced wire harness coil voltage regulator Spark plug tested and re set tps at .63 ramps up to 4.8 good peak voltage on crank sensor perfect peakvoltage on coil good at 170 compression good at 45 with decompressor Fuel pump test good as per book . cleaned connections 10 times Tested tip sensor god kill button good and tried with not connected hsac Google tested witha and without new flywheel everything the same! any other ideas out there?
  5. Parts came off of Davi Millsaps race bike. Bike ran great with maybe 15 hrs.
  6. The tests for the tps and tip sense stator crank sensor all to spec with Suzuki service manual. This is probably an 1 hr. Fix but the Suzuki shops around have no parts or bikes to swap parts to find out about ecu ect...
  7. First thing I replaced was stator and that didn't fix it. I swapped the tps with another and same thing. I also took the tps off of the bike but still plugged in and operated witha screwdriver and nothing changes! Also left the tps hanging off of the bike and I get same thing...spark at 1/4 throttle and no where else with it not even on the throttle body??pulled and cleaned all elec connectors twice. Checked for good ground and moved ground to different spot(no change). Pulled and cleaned injector. Different fly wheel, wire harness, regulator, capacitor, coil and plug cap,tip sensor, with and without kill button, with and without SHAC hooked up. The fact the other bike started with my ecu throws me off. Next is peak voltage then I guess a new ecu when I can afford$$ I have pulled throttle body off and inspected and cleaned and all checks out according to Suzuki service manual. One thing I found odd was the idle setting was 38 clicks out. The book says all the way clockwise then out 6. No change once I set it to book (2016 rmz450) . If I kick it a few times the idiot light comes on so I figure I'm getting power. Every time I pull tank I get fuel splatter. With the tank off and bike plugged into12 volt source I get the proper sequence with the idiot light with light then engine hrs. Then fuel pump fault. With the tank on the fuel tank fault goes away. Tested the spark plug on another and it sparks away but I order a new one to try tonight. any other ideas?
  8. If your valves are in spec , do a leakdown. Top end worn out! New piston and rings.
  9. Put another flywheel , same problem! .
  10. Yes I have heard same but I'm hesitant to spend another $400 on a guess. Dealers here have no parts or bikes to test with!
  11. My 2016 rmz450 won’t start, no spark, erratic spark quit when riding and won’t start. Lost spark. will spark once every 10 to 40 kicks will spark if you hold throttle open near 1/4 turn with or without the tps on the throttle body.?? have replaced cdi, wire harness, capacitor , coil, different plug, voltage regulator, cps, to sensor. No change disconnected shac and kill button, no change. have factory service manual and everything seems to check ok, no. Faults. drove 2 hrs. To nearest like bike and put my ecu on another bike and bike ran fine. Did not put his ecu on my bike for fear of ruining his ecu. Replaced crank sensor , no go. everything seems to test good. Plug in with 12v tester and get fuel pump fault due tot tank being off. With tank on , no faults. Any ideas???
  12. 2016 rmz450 won’t start ! No spark and erratic spark. engine will spark once every 10or 40 kicks. Drove 2 hrs to the only bike available and put my ecu on another bike and it ran fine! Did not put the other ecu on my bike due to fear of burning up his ecu. replaced cdi and no results, does same thing. replaced wiring harness, capacitor, coil, voltage regulator from good bike. Same issue have Suzuki service manual and verified TO and TPS , gp sensor, cps , cdi etc all check out replaced kill switch and tested with it disconnected as well as holeshot switch. Nothing have used different spark plus same results. BUT!!! If I twist throttle to @1/4 I get spark any more or less , no spark. Pulled tps off of the throttle body while plugged in and no change! Still get spark in the 1/4 throttle range without the tps on the throttle body?! Pulled and cleaned throttle body and re-set tps , no change Any ideas, really scratching my head over this one!
