    Yoshi exhaust hardware

Have you contacted Yoshi directly? They were able to sell me parts for my old TRS exhaust on my KLX400

Went through the carb again. Tore out all the jets, cleaned them with carb clean, blew out the ports with the compressor and put it all back together. Runs like a top. Quick lap around the neighborhood and it’s amazing.thanks to everyone trying to help and shoutout to noble for the extra help http://

What did you do to your DRZ400 today?

Put on some ARC levers. They don’t make a brake lever specifically for the DRZ/KLX, but after buying an ASV lever and seeing the same lever is compatible for several other years, models, and makes. I bought an ARC for an ‘08 KLX450 and it fits like a glove
  7. Also, check your throttle cables are adjusted correctly. I had similar issues and it came down to incorrectly adjusted return cable.

This made me want to put green plastics back on my bike

Need to adjust fuel air mix but it’s loads better. Header gets a little red now but i believe that’s fixable with the mixture screw. The AP must have been clogged. Cleaned it all out and i get squirt now. Has some juice on throttle grab now finally. http://

Just pulled carb again, with intake boot. Boot looks good, nice and flexible, no cracks from what i can see. Air filter was dirty, replacing that today. I believe the accelerator pump isn’t working. No squirt when throttle is pulled. Firing up the air compressor to try and clear the path. Would explain the bog. But, for those keeping an eye on this here’s a pic of the spark plug. Looks a little dark to me.... but again, I’m new to this.

Got the jd kit, put in blue needle on 3rd clip, 168 main as directed in the jd kit instructions with full exhaust and air box mod, new 45 pilot. Problem still exists, AP diaphragm looks great. I removed the CE as well. I’m kind of at a loss, unless the 165 or 160 jet is what’s needed. I ride So. Cal high desert basically, red sticker season. So no higher than 4K and no warmer than 60*

I ordered the JD jetting kit just so i have some new parts in the bike and i can use what was suggested, with that said. I am trying to understand how jetting works. And obviously it’s a longer conversation but directly to my cause here. The 168 main i have is actually a larger jet than needed at the moment, correct? Also, The air jets i have are a 200 and a 60. I don’t have to do the 3x3 as I’m totally happy with the performance of the bike currently, but would you recommend that for tune-ability and correct jetting? I apologize for my lack of understanding but I’m a big fan of working on my vehicles myself and this is the first bike I’ve owned in my adult life so I’m getting a late start on this knowledge.

Quoting for some findings and looking for some insight. Pulled the jets out tonight and this is what i found, unfortunately i am still a newb to this so i just want to see if what i have will work or if i need to buy a new jetting kit. Main jet Pilot jet Needle Also, not sure which jet this is but here it is as well

The stock carb is a FCR39 from what I’ve read, does that change the jetting options?

Thank you very much. The bike isn’t street legal unfortunately and the TRS pipe is awesome It’s just so damn loud haha. My bike is the loudest in our desert crew, i was considering switching to the fmf q4 and powerbomb header but if my pipe is that good I’ll keep it. I’ll update the thread with the new jet kit installed
