    XR200R Seat Cover Recommendations

That guy’s stuff looks good. I’d be tempted to get the blue seat cover.

    Engine sputters after 1/2 throttle...

Well that was easy. This was in the bottom of the bowl. I always assume something catastrophic happened lol. Anyway, this carb did not have that splash shield in it. Is it really necessary?

    Engine sputters after 1/2 throttle...

I found chucks write up on carb cleaning. Looks like I have work to do
  5. It idles beautifully but stutters and dies after it reaches half throttle. If I let off right before it dies it pops out of the exhaust. The bike has been sitting for the last month. I double checked the timing and it’s spot on. Any ideas? Also, where can I get new timing inspection covers?

    2001 Honda XR200 rear shock

Might as well swap out the forks for the long travel ones from those same years so the bike is better suspended at both ends

    2001 Honda XR200 rear shock

Get a shock off eBay from an 84-91 XR200R or an 84-85 xr250r.

    Oil leak after rebuild

I see what you mean in the second pic. I’ll be taking it apart again and getting a machine shop to look at it. This time I’ll go with Honda gaskets. I got an outlaw racing gasket set. Seems to be junk

    Oil leak after rebuild

Soooo....my head gasket is leaking after my rebuild. I’m using a mid 80’s 185 cylinder bored to 65.5mm. It started seeping oil at the 2hr mark. I used the MLS gasket, no orings, and 2 dowels. Both surfaces were clean. I know I’ll have to replace the head gasket this winter but can I run it in the mean time? Should I use the paper style gasket with the o rings?

Engine burns oil. Time for a rebuild.

Does that look normal? I have a 40/115 jet combo I can put in. The bike runs great. I was just concerned I was lean.

I now have the fuel screw 1 1/4 turns out. Runs great. Thanks.

She’s all back together and runs like a champ. Occasionally there’s a pop on deceleration.

It might be but since it can’t be safely bored out larger I spent the $20 on a good used cylinder

I picked up a good atc 185 cylinder off of eBay along with a new 65.5mm xr piston. There’s plenty of those cylinders on there and they are cheap. You just have to pay attention to the bore diameters. Quite a few are at 65.xx already

There are hone marks on the bottom of the bore. I really need better shop lighting. I thought these could be bored out to 67mm but I see there’s hardly any bore left now! Looks like I’ll pick up an eBay cylinder
