Engine burns oil. Time for a rebuild.

It might be but since it can’t be safely bored out larger I spent the $20 on a good used cylinder

I picked up a good atc 185 cylinder off of eBay along with a new 65.5mm xr piston. There’s plenty of those cylinders on there and they are cheap. You just have to pay attention to the bore diameters. Quite a few are at 65.xx already

There are hone marks on the bottom of the bore. I really need better shop lighting. I thought these could be bored out to 67mm but I see there’s hardly any bore left now! Looks like I’ll pick up an eBay cylinder

The top two rings were over one millimeter gap. The oil rings dropped right through the cylinder. It had a .5mm over weisco piston in it already. No hone marks left on the cylinder walls. I did not measure the piston/cylinder clearance yet
  5. I tore the top end apart on my ‘97 200. The piston and cylinder look good because somebody rebuilt it at some point. There’s some funky build up on the valves and the top of the piston. Everything looks good but the ring gap is way too big. Could that be the cause of low power and burning oil?

I tried ordering one weeks ago. They are out of them but the warehouse wasn’t updating their inventory

    XR200r plastics

Chad hooked me up with all the hardware. It has a bunch of special nuts with it that pop into existing holes. Along with a bunch of spacers to keep it off of the pipe

    Can anyone ID this exhaust?

First place- I’ll measure it when I get it. I’m really curious as there are no heat shield mounts or anything

    Can anyone ID this exhaust?

I gave $40 for it. I ride in the mountains far away from civilization. We’ll see how well it works this weekend

    Can anyone ID this exhaust?

It came off a ‘96 XR200r and the seller claims it fits the bike well

    XR200 Piston choices

I was wondering the same thing. The namura is cast but so is the factory piston. It should be fine in a small Honda 4 stroke
