    Has anyone made their own skid plate for their drZ? Was gunna use an old street stop sign or yield sign just wanted to see some ideas or if anyone knows the dimensions

    Ahhhh thank you sir !!! Can you buy rebuild kits for them? Or do you just rebuy the BBK and reinstall?

    Hey drZ brothers, so I bought this DRZ for a crazy deal has about 61000 km on it uhh engine was completely rebuild with a “arctic cat?” BBK at around 40,000 I kind of just wanna do a complete rebuild of he bike over the winter. This may sound like a stupid question but could I just buy like say a cylinder works BBK and switch it out that way I know what BBK was used and I have a little more knowledge about my bike. Never heard of an arctic cat BBK hence why I wanna switch to a cylinder works.

    So here comes my drz’s life story. Bought the bitch with around 61000 km on her, big bore kit was installed areound 38000 with a full engine rebuild. After riding it for a few days I took a whiff of the oil and smelt fuel. Changed the oil still had fuel in it. So me and my old man decided to rebuild the carb in hopes of a leaky oring somewhere anyways we found the float level was waaay high and the fuel mixture screw was 1/4 turn out. So buddy before me was clearly chasing a rich problem. We build the carb back up replacing all orings and new float needle etc. Adjusting float height properly. So I had a mad dead spot at low rpm to the point where I could ride it so I put the fuel screw out 1 full turn and this helped a bit so we decided to go up a size on the pilot jet from 22.5 to 25. This fixed the problem a bit untill now, I’m experiencing a bit of a dead/flat spot around 3-5000rpm after that it runs fine. I’m assuming I should just increase the jet size again to a 28 or even a 30. But figured I would get your guys opinions first. Thanks !!

    thank you both of you haha, yeah fuel screw fell out, went to my local bike mechanic and he had a thumbscrew fuel screw available so shes running again appreciate your guys's help.

    dad thinks that maybe my slide is stuck open, becaause theres deffinetly nothing in my fuel tank going to go take out the carb and have a look.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......... i was having issues with fuel contaminating my oil.. so i pulled my carb apart rebuild it replaced all seals and orings new float needle etc.. properly adjusted my float height. so ive been driving the bike for about 2 days now, adjusting my fuel screw appropriately. and while i was driving today i cracked the throttle pretty hard, the bike started to back fire hard, and as i pulled up to a red light it died so i pulled over to the side of the road tried starting but it would just try and start but not start. so i pulled the choke out all the way and it fires up but idles at like 4200rpm and is very rough idle ranging from 3300 to 4300. and when i try to ride with full choke a bit it just lugs super hard and is super jerky. but wont start without choke full out. any ideas????

    So carb rebuild would be a good starting point then? Or would you just replace the float needle and seat oring
