    Different Colored Plastics... Thoughts?

It would be cool if they would do a "test run" of different colors for bikes and see how they do. If they don't do well, then fine. But if they do well, more sells.... what's the issue? They do gray for ktm's from acerbis.

    Different Colored Plastics... Thoughts?

graphics only cover so much and some people don't like running graphics. It would be cool to do a purple and orange ktm build....

    Different Colored Plastics... Thoughts?

all basic colors that have been around for decades..... I know a few riders personally who would want a different colored yz or bike in general just to stand out from the crowd.
  6. I have yet to understand why plastic companies such as polisport, cycra, acerbis, rtech, etc don't come release a different color of plastics from the norm. I know the color of dye might would be more expensive but I could see a market for it as I watch bikes builds on youtube and could only imagine what those guys could do with say an all dark purple ktm or blue honda even, hell a yellow kawi. I could see many people at the track rocking it with some crazy graphics kits or colorways as well. I don't want a pissing match to start please.... thanks.

    Patching MX Boots?

I have a pair of FOX F3 Race boots that I got with a used bike new. I have worn them for about 3 seasons and the right boot has a small tear in it where i kicked over my bike and it went through the side of it. Is there anyway to patch the small tear so water and mud stays out of my boot when riding?

    2014 ktm 250sxf wont start??

hmm. Could you post a video of trying to start it? I am no mechanic but if you are getting air, fuel, spark there should be no reason it is not starting if everything you said was in spec.

If you have checked valves, timing and have good spark then you are not getting fuel somewhere/somehow. I would start going through the fuel system and see if anything is bad or clogged there than report back.

Is 60 hours on a 350sxf bottom end alot?

should i be worried though since is was replaced at such low hours? thanks for the help.

Is 60 hours on a 350sxf bottom end alot?

Not that I can tell no. Guy says its mostly stock besides a skid plate/handguards and maybe some small odd/inns. The bike my dad bought (11' 350sxf) was kept to the TEE of the service manual and rebuilt every (i think 50 hours?) so if the guy is following the service manual times than that is a good sign already. I was just curious on how many hours people normally see out of a bottom end on these bikes seeing as I am an advanced level rider but only ride on the weekends for a few hours through the woods.

    Buying a used 16 450sxf (unknown hours)

Yeah I am. + with time I can add more money to the pile and buy something super nice for a bit more. I jumped on the 1st thing I saw last bike and it ended up being problems or needing something all the time. I want to spend around $5k for something nice this time as I want something to ride for a decade or so.

Because finding a newer XCF or a YZF-FX is nearly impossible in my area or surrounding areas. And finding one for a decent price from someone who isn't in the mindset that their bike is worth 8k used is also hard. Nearly every bike at races and the trails are MX bikes converted to woods bikes because they are overall cheaper and easier to find. The gearing does not bother me because we ride faster style trails and barely any "tight" stuff so it works everywhere to be honest.
  15. I found a 350sxf with 60 hours on the meter with a top end rebuild at 33 hours (seems short hours?) for $4700 but I am used to 2 strokes and replacing everything at 70 hours for peace of mind and to keep my stuff running good. Just curious how many hours they can go?
