1981 Suzuki DR500 tank emblem dimensions

I looked and looked for the red stripes, a company was drawing me some up but the price was $159. I went with the blue from Diablocycles. Clarke does make a tank, look at the Universal. Put one on my 81 DR500, looks great!

Thank you so much, looking for the red and orange but for price blue is fine. Have a company drawn the red and orange up but no $ yet we shall see. Once again thanks for the big help!

Sent a pic of the top tank which I need the measurements for but if you have both that would be cool. My uncle Arthur keeps me from exact measurement plus had a needle stuck from c-2 through c-7 yesterday so limits me a little. Once the bike is done I will just chug pills and ride, ride ride!

Sorry the top tank is the one I need but both would be nice. Looks like bottom tank stickers would be easier to put on?

  7. Rebuilding a DR500 need the measurements for the tank emblems. Letters and the taping length. Trying to get the decals made to look original. Thanks?
  8. Have set the carb to service manual specs. Usually takes 8 to 10 kicks, sometimes 3 just depends on what I do not know. Any ideas are appreciated. Also there are no kits for the DR500 what parts are most needed besides gaskets? Thanks for the help. Steve
