    Fuel Injected DRZ

Yup, that's why I said "New" and "Purported to" as no one has actually seen one here yet. Just rumours and talk from the Suzuki Reps. The only '2019' bikes landed here so far, did not have the WiFi feature. Also why I said I don't think I can wait that long to find a blown up motor/wrecking bike, as even though they come with either no warranty, or just 3 months here, people will not scrap a bike less than a year old and sell parts cheap. I'd be waiting years before RM-Z parts are economical to buy used from a wreck/part-out. There very well might be a EFI DRZ450 by that time?

    Fuel Injected DRZ

First off, THANKS! I am moving from a Rotax 650 EFI Rallye style bike, to building what I am calling a 'DRZ440EFI Rallye'. I had started to look how hard it was going to be to install the LTZ400 flywheel and hall effect sensor / crank angle sensor, as this is what I thought was going to be my biggest hurdle. Nearly all my questions have been answered in this thread! So many many thanks for being the 'first on the Piste' & taking the hit on stage to do the navigation while we all just follow your tracks. I'm no EFI tuner but I understand most of the basics enough that I was going to give it a go. First thought was to just use the complete LTZ400 Trottle Body & Injector, ECU, sensors, everything. But I think the added complexity of using the Microsquirt gives much better tunability, and especially as I intend to make this a 434cc (with big valves?) and Stage2 cams ( E model cams are the @same??) as well. A stock ECU should just learn (via adaption tables) but I think I'm learning that is only in a closed loop system like I'm used to, and the LTZ ECU is only open loop? There's another reason for the Microsquirt. Maybe someone already mentioned but the new RM-Z450 is purported to have WiFi tunability via phone app. I'm not sure I can wait long enough to find a RM-Z with a blown engine to scavange all those bits from economically though! However I will take on board your advice about maybe using an orange 500exc Throttle Body & injector? Guess I'm going to be pricing Dyno hours around town? I can't see how I can get the mapping right, even with an O2/AFR gauge, without some Dyno time? But lots of ppl do carb jetting without Dyno time I guess. I never did on the cars...always put it on the Dyno to get the jetting tuned. Looking forward to the spreadsheet...especially fuel pump/regulator info. Oh, it would be just my luck that as soon as I finish this project, Suzuki bring out an injected DR-Z450! Thanks again!
