    AMA CBD Statement

My wife and I tried CBD for a week or so. I read all the literature about it. We thought maybe it would help us relax and sleep a bit better. After a week neither of us felt any different. We tried a highly recommended vape pen by the way. Neither of us have smoked pot in 20 years or more and never very often, so we were blank canvases we figured.

People get confused because it’s a gearbox. But it is the same as any other motorcycle clutch and gearbox except that it is the lubricant is used to lube the top end. Therefore any engine oil approved for motorcycles will work. See your manual, 5w/30 engine oil. Go use ATF, it’s more expensive than engine oil and you get no benefit. I would think it would be too thick.

Oh, cool. If it went up for sale the patrons should buy it. Like a country club owned by the people.

Any wet clutch motorcycle engine oil. The same oil you use in Japanese sport bikes or 4 stroke dirt bikes. I usually use the Honda brand 5w/30 that I get a gallon off amazon delivered for $30ish. Think about it, in a motorcycle the engine oil is also the tranny oil. Not sure about ATF, not really wet clutch approved
  10. The economy dictates price on used dirt bikes for sure. My Last bike was a 2007 KX250 I bought new I think in 07, paid around $7200 for it. I sold it with 50hrs on it 2 years later for $1500 and it was a pain to get rid of at the price even. It was really clean and had a fresh top end and new tires. Now that bike sells 10 years later for about $3000. Crazy ha and I like in SoCal.
  11. I’m 37 trying to get back into dirt after 10 years off. I’ve been riding street for past 5 years. Malibu is amazing for canyon riding and there are some great tracks within a few hours. I’ve gotten decent... I ride A pace on track days and am probably mid pace in the fast group. Now im hoping I’m not to old to get proficient at hitting some MX tracks. My friend is in his late 40’s and incredible on dirt and street so I’m hoping I can follow his footsteps. I stay pretty fit fit but I have some bad habits at the same time, soo...
  12. Mine was a 2014 also. I also had a 2006 5.4l, which I should have never gotten rid of. I really like that 5.4 engine. For the price I paid for the New F-150 in 2013, I got a New Laramie Limited Ram 4x4 with Cummins 6.7l in 2016. All around I like the Ram better but they both have their pluses and minuses.
  13. If you drive that truck does your lady friend sitting passenger have to have missing teeth and a face that looks like a catchers mit. Also do you need a leather vest when driving?

How to de-water or dispose of gas?

I drive a diesel. I drop of oil, gas, coolant and brake fluid cocktail at the auto parts stores occasionally. Not sure if they care or not.

How to de-water or dispose of gas?

I have at least 20 gallons of premix and oil in my shed that keeps growing. One day I’ll spread it out across all the auto part stores around.
  16. Not a fan of the twin turbo eco boost, My wife used our F-150 3.5eco boost as her daily driver and we got rid of it after the second turbo replacement. Each covered under warranty of course. I traded it for an little Audi for her and I got a Ram 2500. The ram is better in almost every way except it’s a little big and takes a while to warm up.

    2018 FX350 First Ride!

I rode Hungry valley Sunday. Had a blast except for a water mishap and the mx track being closed. Conditions are good after rain, dry and hard in the dry months. Get up on the tank more will really help to keep that front tires tracking.

    Water flooded exhaust YZ250

Thanks for the tips! That’s my evening task to pull the carb and clean it tonight. I pulled the filter and cleaned it and it had no signs of dirty water getting to it.

    Water flooded exhaust YZ250

So yesturday I laid my bike down in a deep puddle on the trail after I stalled out. Most of bike remained above water as the handlebars held it up high enough. Quite a bit of muddy water rushed into the tailpipe which I didn’t realize until after I got it running (took about 50kicks) and water came shooting out the exhaust. I rode it 10 min back to camp and headed home. Got home kicked it over and it fired right up first kick.. Will a 2 stroke pull water into the engine through the exhaust. I drained the tranny fluid and there were no signs of water. Anything I should do further?

    Water flooded exhaust YZ250

So I took the head off and it looks good except the head has some milky residue. Just going to clean it off and button it back up. do I need fresh o rings, bike has 10hrs on it?

    Water flooded exhaust YZ250

Can I reuse the gaskets or do I need a gasket kit. I really thought if water had gotten into the cylinder the plug would have fouled. Yea, the exhaust Is full of mud and water. It probably acted as a bit of a filter as I’m running a big pro circuit 296. I pulled the exhaust and looked up in the cylinder and see no signs of dirt.

    Water flooded exhaust YZ250

It was red clay filled really muddy water. Basically coats anything it touches. I dont know how much vacuum the bike creates through the exhaust since water would have to travel uphill to enter the engine.
  23. Stock for stock the 2 stroke is 10+hp more and more torque. 4 strokes are easier to ride with a smoother power band. 2 strokes have a bit more fun appeal. I always loved 2 strokes, my clutch hand is not as enthusiastic.

    Brand New YZ250 issues

The idle screw has almost no affect. I have tuned several carburetors, 2 and 4 strokes. This bike runs great other than the idle issue, must be the float bowl.
  25. Hey All, back on the horse after a few years off. Looking forward to this forum. just got a brand new 2018 YZ250, I get it home kick it over with the choke on and need to give it a bit of throttle input to keep it idling, I may have rev’ed it up a bit due to excitement. I do this for a few minutes, it never idles on its own for more than a few seconds. I push in the choke and do a quick trip around the block just 1/4 throttle Ish. 2 days later I figure I’d do the same just trying to break it in. The same thing but I notice the choke doesn’t really do anything. It need constant throttle blips. I shut her down. Add some turns to the idle screw. Kick it over but same story. Anyone have any any ideas of what’s wrong... Tomorrow I’ll try some fresh premix. My only guess would be that I &%$#@!ed up a ring by giving it so many revs.
