Hello, I was given a free 2015 Can-Am Ds450 with the motor all torn apart with a bunch of random stuff missing. I was told the motor had a seized bottom end, but as I was putting off the clutch/stator, found that the bottom end was not seized at all. Decided I am going to split to cases just to be sure and look everything over. Thinking maybe the transmission took a dump and caused it to lock or something. There is fine metal shavings in the oil. Anyway, can I hone the cylinder on it prior to reassembling? And what type of hone would I use? I am going to buy a new std bore piston and have heard the ball hones take off too much material. I haven't been able to find much online about the Ds450 cylinder.
