  1. I have not gotten it together, im young with big dreams so this is a long project for me. I dont plan on racing it much. Its honestly just a play bike. Love the bike/have alot of history w it
  2. I have the pvl ignition system
  3. This is just a question. Not planning a build anything like that. Does anyone know if its possible to achieve 400hp/liter out of a single cylinder 125cc 2 stroke? Naturally aspirated no nitrous
  4. I already have all the images/info i need from doing so. Since you cant find the bbr frame cradle anymore i plan on making my own. Along with a custom electronics box since i will be SM mine
  5. Thank you, didnt really even think of that. So would you suggest i stick with my original idea of reinforcing the drz frame?
  6. Well, ive been thinking recently. The frame for the drz is definetly a weak point. Alot of people will weld in supports and gusset their frames to help it out but why dont we try to mount the drz's engine into a kx100 chassis. Obviously there would be alot of custom mounting work for the engine, exhaust, etc but so is there when you upgrade your drz with kx100 parts. I havent bought my kx100 donor yet so if anyone has any thoughts on this idea let me know
  7. Thats exactly what i said when i went to buy it. I live in the north eastern us so every 80's 2 stroke has a rusty pipe and a rusty frame. This bike stuck out. Planning on sending my engine to Eric Gorr to have him rebuild it and weld the case. Hope it all works out
  8. Worked on it for the first time yesterday so i got some pictures for you guys. Cleaned the frame and swingarm off.
  9. Bought a $200 84 cr125r, frame is in beautiful condition, bottom rails are straight, no touchup paint, fairly minimum bare metal. All plastics great shape. Case has jb weld on the top of the water pump cover/side of inner cover. Needs a piston. Crank has no play. Gonna update you guys with pictures as i start to work through it clean it all up work through the boxes. Im in search of a good condition inner water pump conver, any mugen power up parts, period correct aftermarket suspension, etc. If anyone has anything i might be interested in send me a message.

  11. So, i just started riding dirtbikes within the last year or so, i really enjoy to work on my bikes and i want to get into it more. If anyone can help me get a detailed list of tools i should buy for working on dirtbikes. My dad is a welder (pipefitter) and has some basic tools in the garage but i just got my first large tool box on wheels so its time to start filling it with what i really need
  12. Looking to pickup this 1989 rm125 thats on my local facebook marketplace, supposedly ran until it lost spark, he thinks its either the magneto or the cdi so im guessing he tried a coil and a plug. Anybody know much about this year? Bike isnt in the best of shape planning on doing a backyard restoration on it.
