"It's a good thing I sold you that tank so you had enough gas to get out" or "It's all my fault, if I hadn't sold you that tank you would never go that far into the woods." you can decide which way you want to go with this. Glad you didn't get hurt hurt, with that little poke you should be riding this weekend.

    Juniper Dunes Conditions

Ground is still frozen and still plenty of snow especially on anything on the north side of the hills. To me, it's a crash waiting to happen.

    Electric mountain bike

I have a Specialized Turbo Levo and love it. Used to ride a long time ago and just don't have the time or patience to train on a cycle for the hours it would take to get back to a basic level. The Levo is a pedal assist, meaning you have to pedal to make it go. Has 3 levels of assist and I ride mostly in eco mode , lowest setting, it is still a good workout, but takes the major pain out of it.
  5. mxengineer4, Got to ask about your Ohlin's on your 350. Are you running the shock? What was the biggest advantage to the Ohlin setup?

    Pros/cons for crossfit training?

I am 56, been doing Crossfit for almost 3 years. If you are smart with Crossfit and scale your workouts, then the lack of injury is greatly reduced. The people that I seen getting hurt are usually doing more weight than they should and that is where the injuries are coming from.

    Gnarliest trail pics ever!

Just got done riding Juni today, live close by and ride from my shop. Sand riding is waaaaay more forgiving than tumbling done the side of a mountain. I will say there is definitely a sand technique one must adapt to and sand has humbled more than a few riders, but still my hat comes off to you guys that are doing the nasty trails. PS, those of you that are riding Juni, make sure you get a Medstar membership, its only like $150 for 3 years, if you crash at Juniper and have medium to a significant injury, you will be flown out. As a member of the volunteer fire dept, I see it time and time again, the flight is well over $5000.

    Gnarliest trail pics ever!

I feel like a puss after looking at some of these pictures. Most of these places I wouldn't ride because #1....it would tear the crap out of my bike and body 2#......my NUTS just aren't big enough. I will stick to riding Juniper, pounding whoops all day is much more to my liking. My hat is off to you guys that ride the steep cliff trails.

KTM High vs KTM Low Seat

Love my low seat on my 300XC. I am the same ht as you and 55 years old, my first ride on it I didn't care for it and took it off and switched with another 300 rider to get me through the rest of the day. That was 4 months ago and the low seat hasn't come of my bike since. Love how it gives the bike a lower center of gravity in high speed corners.

Who loves their KTM 2 stroke and HATES IT?

I grew up and raced 2 strokes. Moved to 3 450's and loved them. Road a buddies 300 and had to have one. Now on a 2013 300xc, have a blast on it, no regrets.
