    Check my Setup Please

Got the bike with the 3x3 mod in the airbox. I was going to do the quiet insert tomorrow but don't have any packing. Guess that will have to wait.

Thanks guys. More hp is always good. I'll have to get a zeta quick turn because the cables seem to be adjusted correctly.

I'll definitely check the slide. 200 does sound crazy so I'll have to open up the carb to see what's actually in there. It does have a 3x3 mod and is ported. Not sure if its the stock base gasket as I haven't tore the bike down yet, but that makes sense.

Ok tuning gurus, I just picked up an '08 DRZ400SM with the following mods. Let me know if the tuning is right as is. Also, if I install the quiet insert into the MRD Z, will anything need to change? - Cylinder Works 434 Big Bore Cylinder Kit 4mm over to 94mm (470 total bore and stroke) - 11.3:1 compression - Ferrea Racing Intake and Exhaust Valves and Springs - Ron Hamps Cams - FCR 41 Flat Side Carb - 170 Main Jet, N427 Needle, 45 Slow Jet (Dyno says 200 jet? Not sure if they changed it, but that seems really big) - MRD Z-Pro Full Exhaust (ran wide open now but want to install quiet insert)

Outter Fork Tube Deformed at Seal - DRZ400SM

Hey guys, just got back from a weekend trip hitting the trails with some buddies. Broke a rib in the process...anyway, i plan on putting it back together as-is tomorrow and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

Outter Fork Tube Deformed at Seal - DRZ400SM

Hmmm, good point. Maybe it was just a bad fork seal and i assumed it was the flat spot. I think I'll just change the fork seal and see if it holds.

Well, looks like a ball peen hammer is going to have to do. What do you mean by packing the backside of the seal. I've never heard that before. I usually just lube everything up with the fork oil.

The pipe expander was my first thought too, but I think it will expand the whole thing. Think I can have a machine shop machine it back to round?
  13. Hey folks, just purchased a 2008 DRZ400SM aont right fork was leaking pretty bad. Went to change the seal today and found that the outter fork tube is deformed a bit at the point where the seal goes in. Any way to fix this without purchasing a whole new fork?
