  1. Where is the fuel screw, air screw and idle screw on the fcr39 mx? Anybody have a picture or diagram that is labeles, sort of getting confused witg the air screw and idle screw. I know where the fuel screw is but my idle screw seems to be way more then 2 1/2 turns out , it looks like its 6 or 7 turns out
  2. That idle adjustment is hard to get right, and cant see anywere how to adjust the slide height, strange .
  3. True, what could cause the slide to be open too far?
  4. Thank you very much will be looking into that soon
  5. Allright thanks allot really helpful tips, you have any tips on setting the float level?
  6. Its too rich but i already have a 40 pilot jet in it, which according too many should already be very lean. I think my trouble is coming from the float level as i measured it wrong, could that be possible? And i think i put the vaccun seal gasket upside down. Other then that should i go down to a 38 pilot? The who carb was already taken appart and cleaned and rebuilt with new parts
  7. Does anybody have the process for adjusting the throttle cables? Like pics from a manual for adjusting them the right way
  8. That shouldn't be with that lean of pilot. Float level and main nozzle have already been discussed. A higher level or worn nozzle will cause abnormal rich condition. Not mentioned is the possibility of a worn/ damage seat the fuel screw seats in. Before you worry about that you need to go back to the floats and nozzle. Float level is the starting point and it's importance is not discussed enough. After that replace the main nozzle if you haven't already done so. Main nozzle is new, i will be looking at float height, no air leaks at all when i spray with starting fluid, treid everywere and its fine, im really thinking its either float height which i dont really get how to measure, the vacuum seal on slide plate is installed upside down, and can be in combination with throttle cables not set right
  9. So went for a ride, warmed up the bike 20 minutes, bike started well and it idled high with the choke on, then i went for a ride and when giving it throttle clutch pressed in it has hanging idle and also when coming to a stop, tried playing with fuel screw and idle adjustment to get it right but still couldnt get it to run right, when you gibe it gas in neutral and let go the idle hangs until you give it gas again, and plus fuel screw all the way in still cant shut the bike off. Looked at throttle cables and the return seems fine dont know what to do anymore, bike runs fine at full throttle its way faster then before, but i did notice a slight bog in the lower rpms going 1/2 to full throttle.
  10. In wich areas should i check for the vacuum leaks?
  11. I try to adjust fuel screw at very low idle almost stalling to see if u could get it to run faster with fuel screw, the bike was still running with it all the way in, then treid adjusting with regular idle speed, still the same.
  12. Yes but tñhe bike the carb came from was a good clean and well maintained bike, the engine grenaded itself who knows why but it ran well before it blew up i rode it a couple times.if my drz is too lean then why did it run better with the airbox lid off before i changed the pilot to a smaller one, and now bike runs with fuel screw all the way in, there doesnt seem to be any air leaks i tried testing and bike stays the same.
  13. Nobody seems to agree on what causes a hanging idle lol, dont know were to go from this anymore,it is very annoying but other then that bike is running good and allot faster then stock
  14. My jd jet kit says run the 42 pilot i put that in and it ran only with airbox lid off, so i put the 40 now airbox lid on with 3x3 mod it runs allot better bit still has bad hanging idle, i have to take carb back off will check float height but i dont really know how to anybody have a pic? And will check if i put the vacuum plate seal on the right way as i did not know there was a side for that gasket
