  1. No, off road only. I got to thinking, and I couldn't justify buying a dual sport right now. I may look into putting plates on it tho.
  2. Gotcha. I actually ended up getting an entirely different bike from what I was planning one. They had a 2020 crf250f in stock so I ended up walking out the door with it yesterday. I'm gonna eventually up grade to another bike that's set up better, but I just couldn't pass up the CRF.
  3. Not in my area. Dual sports are not common in my area. Is the KLX300 street legal? I thought only the klx230 was the only street legal version that kawi has right now?
  4. I'm going to sign some papers on one today. I'm not sure yet if they can finance me (I've got decent credit) , but I'm gonna see what they can do. I'm gonna be awful sad if they dont finance me😂😂

No title on the bike currently. And all I can get from the previous owner in a bill of sale. I'd be better off to get a bonded title and make it street legal at the same time.
  6. Gotcha. I think I've decided to go ahead and get the WRR. I'm trying to convince some unnamed 3rd party that I need to keep my 400 as a spare bike so I can have an extra if someone ever wants to ride with me.

I was just figuring panniers with the absolute bare essentials. I'm already a pretty light weight person myself (135 pounds soaking wet) so I know I can get away with a little gear in panniers. On top of that, I'm opting for the light cloth ones. Not only that, but I know the bike I'm opting for (2020 wr250r) is a very capable bike. Theres even a post here on TT about how much better a guys is compared to his buddies KLR650. The yami wr250r is a very capable machine.

Thats why I'm looking at a new WR250R. Already set up for street, and I wont be getting into a can of worms with my 400. KTM has a new(er) race bike that comes street legal. Saw one at my dealer last Saturday.

90% of my ride time will he spent on dirt, that's why I'm looking at a 250. If it wasnt such a can of worms to plate my 400, I'd just go that route. Another factor of getting the 250 is service intervals. 3k mile oil changes and 26k valve inspections. I'd be spending 90% of my time maintaining my 400, since it's more of a race bike.

Not a whole lot of ADV. I'd say an ADV trip or two a year, and even then it's not gonna be very far. Lots of back roads. That's just the main reason I'm wanting a street legal bike. I'm gonna be doing trails, single track and just farting around on my families land 90% of the time. I had no interest in a dedicated ADV bike.

I dont plan on being on street/ pavement much with a dual sport😉 Just need a street legal bike for ADV riding, and I dont want a strictly ADV bike, which is why I'm looking into a dual sport. Feel free to walk me through it tho

I'm looking into a WR250R this weekend. It's the easiest route to getting a street legal dirt bike lmao

I dont have the title, so it'd be a long freaking process. I'd have to get a bonded title. I'm probably gonna be buying a wr250r this weekend and just be done with it, since itll be street legal from the factory.
