2016 CRF450R engine and transmission oils... recommendations?
cheezy replied to cheezy's topic in CRF450R/RWE & RX
Yeah, I know, an oil question. Been a member here since ‘05 and used to post a lot back then, but haven’t been riding much for the last five years or so, and I haven’t had a Honda in a minute. I know the value of the search bar, but I tried finding the Honda manual or recommendations EVERYWHERE online to no avail. Hoping someone can just give me a quick answer. -
2016 CRF450R engine and transmission oils... recommendations?
cheezy posted a topic in CRF450R/RWE & RX
Hey guys, just got myself a 2016 CRF450R from my father in law. Problem is, it didn’t come with an owner’s manual, and I’ve had a Kawi for the last three years so I completely forgot what kind of oil should be used for the engine as well as the transmission for these bikes. Can anyone help me out with the recommended oils, or at least your own personal recommendations? Thanks! -
Trying to figure out the best shop to send my suspension to for a revalve. Used to ride quite a bit, now I'm lucky if I'm able to hit a track once a month so I'm definitely not the fastest guy around. I weigh about 180-185, and the front end seems pretty damn stiff on this bike, regardless of what I do with the clickers. I've never had suspension revalved on any of my bikes and I'm aware that there are plenty of shops out there, so I have no idea where to start. Anybody have any recommendations? Heard a lot of people recommending Factory Connection, saying that they do a pretty good job with the SFF front end. Any other shops to check out? Also, what do you guys think I'm going to be looking at, pricewise? Thanks a ton.

Tried it at the track, didn't work. Also, the idle setting was just fine last time I was riding, didn't change it at all. Heard a lot about this tip-over sensor on the EFI bikes... could that be the issue? The last time I took it out, I brought it home and washed it pretty well, could that have messed with any electrical components? Only reason why I'm so concerned about it being an electrical issue is the fact that it runs so well when the revs are up, but as soon as it's idling it dies shortly after.

2015 yz 450f hard to start, won't idle but runs good

No other issues with it? My KX250F is having the same issue, I refuse to believe it's a valve clearance issue, it runs fine while the revs are up off idle a bit. -
Just as the title says. Took it to the track the other day, didn't want to idle longer than 10 or 15 seconds without dying. When I kept the revs up it would keep running, but as soon as I got back down to idle it would die. Im coming off an '06 CRF250R and I'm not exactly used to all the electrical components in these newer models, can anyone help me out on where to start with troubleshooting this thing?

Does anyone really think this schtick is funny?

As the title says, a few bolts have fallen out of the radiator shrouds and I don't feel like paying $.70 each for OEM screws. I know the hex part of the bolt is 5/16, but what size is the threaded part, itself? And does anyone know the same thing for the bolt that holds down the front number plate? Thanks in advance.

Muddy Creek Moto 1 stream that DOESN'T require that you have one of the 5 obscure cable providers to watch?

That was easy. Thanks for the help. -
Snapped my rear wheel hub, need help finding a (relatively) cheap but reliable hub.

So you mean all the big bore CR/CRFs use the same rear hub? Would've never known that. Thanks for the info! -

As the title says. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, the bottom screw to the oil filter cover is stripped, how do I go about fixing that? Edit: the bike is a 2006 model. -
Yeah, I have Charter and I didn't see it on there. Anybody got any other streams?
-
Are there any live streams? I don't have Fuel on my cable.
