    tank seat combo WR426

I went with the Acerbis tank and a SDG seat. Best mod I have ever done on this bike. I would even rank it above the steering damper although it is a close call. The bike handles sooo much better and the capacity is stil the same.

    mid throttle burble

Thanks for responding so quickly. I have already cut the grey wire and I am running UNI filter already. I have also played with the needle and the 3rd clip is the only one it will even run on. I have a race coming up this weekend and I am hoping to have it worked out by then.

    mid throttle burble

Has anyone experienced a mid throttle burble. It only happens at mid throttle and in mid RPMs usually without much load on the engine, like when running down the road. The rest of the time the bike is great, starts easy and pull all the way through with no problem. I am assuming this is some kinda of jetting problem but everywhere else it runs so good. I also tried yz timing without changing any jetting and the bike would start missing and popping by about 5000 RPM. Not wanting to go through rejeting the whole damn thing I just switched it back to WR timing, I have been happy there anyways. Before anyone asks, I have already double checked the timing to make sure it is correct.
  4. ok I sent my money. that paypal thing is great, very easy to use. does it send you my address for shipping? the way i read it it does but if not let me know and i will email it to you.
  5. ill take two of them. I have never used paypal. is there a link to it and is it ok to go ahead and do it now so it is done before you place the order? Will this item be added to the TTstore? thanks for making this possible
  6. Anybody have any suggestions on where to get a new rear brake lever other than from Yamaha? My got crushed and although I was able to bend it out and make it work for now, it needs replaced. I would prefer aftermarket because their stuff is usually stronger, better, and cheaper. Thanks for any advise

    bent header

Anyone know of a good place to send my semi-smashed header pipe. It is a WB and I dont want to spend another $230 for a new one. Luckily all the rest of the damage was somewhat easily repaired although I may end up needing a water pump housing

    What size Dunlop 756?

I have to agree that the front tire is about the worst thing on the whole bike. I am still trying different one to see what i like best. Right now I am using a Michelin S12 seem great so far, I'll see how it lasts. ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

    Handguards

My first set was the Acerbis Pro Rally with aluminum bars running through them. What a pain in the ass to install but very good protection. Then I foun a set of Acerbis that mount the say way but are all plastic. Still reinforced but all plastic, takes less that half the time to put them on and they look cool too. Cost about $60 at the dealship. well worth it the first time they deflect cactus needles though, believe me those(cactus) really hurt. And there is nothing worse than sitting along the trail pulling cactus out of you hand and the others ride by laughing. ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

    scotts stabilizer mount

I've had a couple of good crashes and mine has never come loose. First off, check to make sure it is not setting on the bearing seal. I had to trim mine a lot. if still having problems contact Scott's, they seem very helpful. If all that fails just weld it on should only take a couple of tack welds to hold it. BTW I run my high speed as tight as it will go and base between 4 and 8 clicks out. ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

    ty davis neutral elim.

Wouldn't the purpose of retarding the timing in neutral be to make it easier to start. I have alway had better luck starting it in neutral but thought it was just clutch drag or something. Had no idea there was a timing difference. ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

What psi should I be running???

I use MSR heavy duty tubes. They are a little pricy ($16.00 each)but I hate changing flats. I ride a lot of desert and rocks. The only pinch flat I have had was on the original front tube/tire and I hit hard enough to bend the rim. You might want to see if you can find some new tires with a stiffer or a taller sidewall, just a thought. Good luck on the flats ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

Bent Front Rim - can I still ride it?

I bent my front rim a little over a year ago. Hit a big rock I guess, all I know was that it gave me a flat. When I got home and dismounted the tire I beat on the rim with a 2lb hammer, no luck, still bent. So I just got a new tube and it has worked fine ever since. It still bothers me cause it's bent right at the name and I always seem to notice it when I am putting it in the truck, but I still ride on it with no problems. ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper

    video software

As anybody done much with transfering video on to their computer and pulling still shots from it. I did my first taping the other day and decided that I bought very poor software to download with. After trying for about two hours i finatty could download some video then two more problems came up. One I can not figure out how to pull a still shot out of the video clip and two a short video clip less that two minutes is so large that even after compressing it it is way to big to email to anyone. BTW I have a Sony trv 330 camera (I love it) and the software is DVmovie suite which came with no real instructions and the help file is schetchy at best ------------------ y2k wr, airbox lid removed, 180 main, 48 pilot, 426yz er needle, wr timing, WB E-series S-bend w/ tapered head pipe acerbis tank(yz), sdg seat(yz), scotts damper
