it says GasGas and has FMF under it. So clearly, they have different stamps.
-
Really, so it was my imagination that I had to change my jetting after putting the Gnarly on because suddenly the bike ran different and had a different power curve. Yet somehow you claim it's the same pipe.
-
Sorry bud but your wrong, the Gnarly is different then the pipe it comes with. I have both pipes, they are visually different. You going to tell me my eyes are lying now.
-
No, it doesn't. I own the bike I should know.
-
You indeed heard correct. I put a FMF Gnarly on my '18 XC300 and it'll grunt up anything I point it at in 3rd gear.
-
GasGas increased the HP of the engines by 10hp from 2017 and prior years to the 2018 model. 2017 and prior were 45hp, 2018 and on are 55hp.

Thanks, that's kinda more along the lines of what I was looking for, I typically like to go around 150hrs on a top end which is about once a year for me.
-
I'm considering getting a 300 SEF for my next bike and was wondering how its been holding up? I put roughly 100hrs a year on a bike and tend to keep them for about 5 years. I did a search and saw previous post of people saying they have been seeing some problems after like 70hrs, wondering if any of the newer years are still seeing any of the same issues or have they gotten better?

Thanks Doc

Anyone know where I can get just the stock decals for the number plates? I've been able to get replacement side panels, but not the decals.
-
Good point on the gearing doc, I live and ride in Florida, mostly all we have is open and fast so that certainly played a role in my going for taller gearing.
-
Well, if you want to keep running the best stuff, keep the Amsoil in it. I run it at 44:1.
-
Switching to Maxima castor 927 from Amsoil Dominator would be a giant step down in oil quality.
-
I'm like you and don't like a aggressive power delivery, the GG is easily tamed. I went smaller on the rear sprocket by 3 teeth, changed the needle to a JD kit blue needle, put on a FMF Gnarly, and turned the power valve setting to its softest. Has very little hit anywhere now, and just pulls like a tractor, a mean tractor, but a tractor.
